I think there is a suicide Tuesday feel about for most chaps, maybe an obscure film reference that relates to some dubious un-GOAT-worthy dubious ITK would cheer the place up.

There's no point because people were tending to look at the most obvious answer and settle for that. As if i'd make it that fucking easy.

If you'd asked me before this Willian shenanigans who'd I'd have taken in the attacking cm role it would have been erikson. Still is. He and Lamela makes us terrifying. Add a left back. Shut the door.

If we land a LB (ITK suggests Coentrao is drifting away), Chriches (ITK suggesting very very close to done), Lamela (ITK suggesting getting closer), I'd be happy with our business.
I think there may be others out their who tick more boxes, in the way Willian was capable of AM and WF, but Eriksen is more specifically an AM, but if he was announced, I'd take him happily.
ITK last night suggesting LD was looming back on the horizon with Defoe and Ade being linked outbound. That'd be cherry on top time, but not quite as critical. Probably need a young 3rd option unless we have Kane the vote.

Also after the Willian debacle surely there is no such thing as truly ITK. Not a criticism in any way I think these days football is a murky world and things change so quickly.

We had our so called top ITK state that SSN were talking crap but as it turns out they were spot on.

If, and it is still an if, Willian does sign for Chelsea, maybe it is a slight dose of karma for those of us spurs fans becoming slightly over zealous in the face of liverpools failed Willian bid....it seems apparent the Willian and his team are somewhat lacking morals, we've made done fantastic signings this summer, and still will so some more outstanding business I believe

You mean apart from the likes of JJ, who said it wasn't a done deal yet, or rebrab who stated that "Barnett told us not to worry", or any of other ITKs giving information stating that we were in the process of sending off the documents when the bid from Chelsea arrives and dodgy Kia pulled his client out.

Depends on how you look upon ITK.
If one takes it as gospel then one is seriously deluded,
my take is that the ITK is just informative and changeable.
Anything can happen until an OS announcement but in the mean time
keep the ITK coming.

It seems like Eriksen and Alderweireld have been options for us for some time. It looks like Alderweireld was probably behind Chiriches on our list and judging by recent ITK is not going to be needed now. I am not sure exactly where Eriksen fits on our list of creative players he seems like a classic Levy signing. AVB obviously wanted Willian and is possibly not sure on him. Is Baldini pushing more for Pjanic? It is vital we get this one right.

Left back is other real concern and Coentrao doesn't seem keen. We could be waiting on that hoping he doesn't get any other offers. I hope we have a good back up plan, but I am concerned that no other names have been mentioned.

With Willian only becoming an option in the last 10 days due o the anzhi meltdown, I'm sure we will revert to the previous targets we we working on I.e. Eriksen, ljajic, pjanic (according to itk).

What is interesting is that any of those 3 would cost 15m max....so what do we do with the other 15m that was going towards Willian?

Chiriches, Lamela and Eriksen sound likely. Still think that would leave us needing a left back and another attacker.
