I'm fairly confident he will be Spurs player but the million dollar question is when exactly and whether it will be before we play Newcastle.

All the itk seem to be saying it's done but it's dragging on. Just hope it's soon. I wonder exactly what the hold up is?

I wouldn't be surprised to see some deals completed even with the squad in the USA, especially with DL delegating this owrk to others.

Lets just hope most of the signings are complete before the first game.

Still conflicting reports over whether it's the fee or personal terms so it's hard to gauge exactly where we are in proceedings.

Re ade, plus leaving things late all the time, anyone think it's to do with getting out of paying wages before we have to? Think about it like this, for every week we don't buy ade, he picks up £170k from city. It makes sense for him to join no earlier than required because those wages add up pretty quick.

Kaboul was done five years ago and sitting in a pub near the Lodge with BEN's 'man'. BEN was on his way to meet him. I think Archibald said it was all done and dusted too. No-one seemed to have told Auxerre's president this, and it was at least another month before things were finally sorted. We also had that interminable Bentley saga four years ago. It happens when it happens, I guess.

Granted but then Defoe leading the line at Newcastle is a pretty depressing state of affairs.

Apparently Internacional president Giovanni Luigi has told Tottenham and AC Milan that "priceless" striker Leandro Damiao "is not up for sale" this summer.

I'm not really bothered about ANY Brazilian or south American strikers at the moment, having seen the attitude of Robinho and Tevez towards their respective clubs makes me wonder if any of these prima donna types are what we really need.

Watched the first half of Brazil v GB last night and didn't see anything extraordinary about some of the guys we're constantly being linked with, ie Hulk Leandro etc. I think we got a good lad in Sandro whose style is particularly suited to the PL and doesn't seem to mind the crap UK weather, but I just think that some of those other so called potential superstars may not settle in so well at Spurs.

It's funny how when we think of the rough side of the English game Bolton seems to be one of the first teams that come to mind lol.

I'd prefer Vertonghen leading the line for us at Newcastle rather than Defoe...

Good in the air, quick, good feet, knows the offside rule

Corluka too, the picture on the OS was from a week before it was actually announced.

Wasn't it Chimbonda that was announced at midnight on deadline day and issued with a photo of him in broad daylight wearing his spurs shirt?

Priceless you say? my opening bid is 0............

The 'problem' here is that David Pleat thinks Damiao is amazing, he advises Levy and they really like the look of Damiao. Had him in their sights for so long that it's almost become a personal challenge to get the player. The price is silly though, gone are the days of South American bargains. Well, from Brazil anyway!
