Sevilla will want a decent purse for him - is there not better out there for £20m?

Soldado is 28, Osvaldo is 27. So, considering these players are similar ages, I'd much prefer the track record of Soldado.

I'd be pretty happy with Osvaldo & Chadli to be honest.

Wonder if Yilmaz could be considered? Linked with him back in June after yet another goal-crazy season from him. Was superb for Gala in the CL too, with 8 goals in 9 games (including strikes against Real, Man Utd & Schalke).

The question with Osvaldo is whether Baldini would be willing to recommend him? I've read media speculation that the two did not get along towards the end of last season, so I'd be hard pressed seeing him brought in if he has temperament issues.

I think he'd do well, mind you, but perhaps he is being saved as a last minute option when Roma are more desperate to off-load him.

Osvaldo and Chadli wouldn't be bad at all. Osvaldo has a certain type of flair to his game in that he can play the assist but he's a very composed finisher. So, having a creative striker as opposed to a creative winger wouldn't be the worst thing in the world.

Any bottom half team IMHO - he could do a job for any team looking to avoid the drop by a couple of points.

Not sure he can secure us Top 4 though.

Well, Osvaldo definitely plays with what I would call an "arrogant flair." He tries some crazy shit and the best part is he has the technique to pull it off. He'd probably become a favorite of our fans and absolutely loathed by everyone else. He's a pretty funny player, though.

Honestly, does anyone really see Levy paying £20 mill for a 28 yr old striker??? And that's assuming they would even take a bid that low. Unless they suddenly drop the price to £12 mill or something, seems like a(nother) pipe dream for us that ultimately ends in disappointment.
