Our incomings are going to be Werner (little experience and all of 4 goals) and a cm, possibly Bender... with a 2nd WF/striker if Soldado leaves. With Berahino apparently being behind Werner (bizarre decision), the only other players we've an ITK link to is N'Jie, again another with next to no experience. An injury to Kane and we're reliant on 2 kids, just great.

the kids are much cheaper than Berating so hardly bizarre, I'd have thought!

Don't worry, ITK just put out there is encouraging us to begin believing that "Chadli can also play there", which obviously Poch agrees with given the sheer number of times he tried him there last season.

With Kane, Berahino and Werner we look far far more potent than Kane, Bobby and Ade (the latter two offering very very little). Would feel far more confident SB and/or TW on the bench than RS and EA

ali z: talking to 4 forwards/wf and 2 dm looking to sign 2 and 1 my bet at this moment would be njie, Kramer and Werner.we identify 2/3 players for each position then see which deals can be done it is a sensible approach not having all eggs in 1 basket.
on ade holdup: Nothing to do with us.

4 WF: Berahino, N'Jie, Werner and Yarmalenko?
2 DM: Bender and Kramer?

To be honest, any combination of those would make me happy and give us an amazing squad.

Just don't see us getting Kramer.

Reeks of us chasing another unobtainable player and then leaving ourselves short of time to get a quality alternative in.

Dont really feel comfortable signing both N'Jie and Werner. They're both very much unproven commodities. One of them and Berahino would be ideal.

Berahino, Werner and Bender/Kramer is my ideal set.

and ali on berahino: from what i hear he is not first choice will only happen if we don't get Njie and Werner

This seems to be a good approach, shows we are being sensible at least with targets and not just panicking if our only target doesn't come off.

I admire all 3 of those forwards, I think Werner and N'Jie have massive amounts of potential. Saw a fair amount of Lyon last year and N'Jie looked very good, particularly as impact sub with 20-25 mins to go.

I know slightly less about Werner, saw him a couple of times last season and he once again looked lively. I have a couple of mates who watch a lot of Bundi, and they said that Werner shows off a lot of Reus/Schurlle qualities, with his ability to dribble and beat players, his shooting isn't bad either. Adding more goals to his game would make him a truly special player, and for £8m, it sounds like daylight robbery from what I've heard.

Berahino would be a good signing as he is already PL proven (ish) however WBA seem to be asking for more each day and it seems our valuations are way off..I would rather sign N'Jie and Werner for the same price as Berahino..

As for Kramer...I've loved the way he has played for Gladbach this year, saw him a couple of times last year on TV and he looks the business, massive engine, hard-worker, provides good defensive cover and is well disciplined. A real first-team improver right there..

Best we can hope for is a Mason Bentaleb double pivot when Ryan is back fit soon.

I think we'll struggle with these midfield targets if i'm honest. I think we will get one striker in though and my money would be on Timo being sealed in a couple of weeks.

I really hope i'm wrong about the midfield but I just can't see it and I think we'll eventually stick with what we have.
