Pretty crazy, huh?

Masvidal and Askren seem to dislike each other a lot.

That was Masvidal celebrating his win where you thought it was the guy who 'destroyed' Sage Northcutt's face.

The guy who 'destroyed' Sage was Cosmo Alexandre. Cosmo whacked him very hard and again after he was out (in the heat of the moment), but is actually a 'nice' guy, I believe. After he said “I’m doing my job there, to go in there and win. I know we can get hurt, but nothing that serious. I was sad because that’s his job and I don’t wish that to anyone.” He also didn't like people gloating over the knockout online “I honestly don’t know why. I can’t understand why people hate him so much. I don’t know if it’s because he’s good looking, like a model. I can’t understand, and I don’t like that. I asked people to stop tagging me on those messages.”

Yes, of course you're right and thanks for correcting me. It's pretty much as I said, professional fighters in the UFC and other brands, are exactly that. Professionals. And despite what they say to the cameras about their up-coming opponents to sell tickets, they all appreciate the hard work and personal sacrifices every other professional has to make to be a winner in the toughest sport in the world.

Some fighters do genuinely dislike each other and that's natural. They're all human beings, but even so, I don't believe anyone within the family of the UFC wouldn't give a shit even if an opponent they disliked got very seriously hurt inside the octagon. I think they'd feel gutted, exactly as Cosmo Alexandre felt about Northcutt.

UFC is an incredible sport, full of the most dedicated individuals of any other sport I can think of and being that dedicated means they fully understand what they all have to go through on a day to day basis. I love it and I have total respect for all fighters.

Thanks again Gary.

Stipe’s adjustment in the 4th. Wow! About 5 body shots, a punch to head and Cormier was done. Body shots do the job if there hard enough. Like Stipe so I am glad he won again.

Honestly, it’s time DC. Had a good run. Great fighter, good champion but it’s time to retire. Fought well and was winning this 2-1 until the 4th. But that 4th round, I feel like that was it and he should ride off into the sunset and commentate. Would have liked another DC/Jones but it’s time DC called it a fighting career.

Glad to see Diaz back and winning(doubt Dana is though). I would be disappointed Nate didn’t call out Conor for a rubber match but Conor will probably be in jail soon anyway. Guy’s a fucking idiot.

I haven't seen the DC V Miocic fight yet, but even though DC lost I would like to see him move down to 205 to fight Jon Jones for the last time, I feel like they both deep down want to fight one last time. As for the heavyweight division, I guess Miocic vs Ngannou would be a much better fight now second time round.

I found the commentary on the fight was really biased towards DC for the first 3 rounds, I honestly think from round 2 onwards Stipe started to come into the fight but going to the body was just what he needed to do after realising DC was taking the shots to the head with no real problems. Good fight was happy for Stipe, DC back to commentary as soon as possible, I love him and Rogan's banter/insight. Dc vs Jones I never want to see again as Dc will get mauled he is too short for Jones IMO.

Jones looked some what aged in his last fight although he has been champ for a long time and you can never count him out there are some very good fighters coming through that division.
Diaz vs Masvidal is a great fight both have good cardio that will be a war. Connor fight won't happen he is too busy being coked out of his mind selling shitty whisky and attacking women and old men. I want Tony v Khabib one of the only fights I actually want desperately.

I just thought DC was quite naive in that fight. Got away with it and fought reasonably well for three rounds or so but he was approaching and coming towards Stipe in such an open fashion. It's like he thought Stipe just couldn't hurt him.

Haskell is obviously big, supremely fit and incredibly strong, and I know he's spent some time training with Brad 'One Punch' Pickett (a big Spurs fan...) but the number of people who excel at one sport and then try another with any great success isn't exactly high, so I wish him well, but no other sport apart from kick-boxing, can prepare you for getting punched repeatedly in the face and kicked in the head, so all I can say is 'Good luck matey' and I hope you know what you're doing!

I think he might be gone to far at the moment couple of months ago he was fighting some bouncer at a strip club

His recent fight with Frankie Edgar was very sad to watch and he got absolutely battered, hardly causing Edgar any problems. In fact, if I remember rightly, BJ said after the fight that he shouldn't have been in the octagon at all, so even he knew his time was up and gone.

Very sad now he's drinking and fighting with people in the street. I can only hope the UFC which gave him such a fantastic living all those years are doing something to help him now from a professional point of view, as a Hall of Famer.

Apparently, the fighters in UFC don't make enough money. Unless they're McGregor or a big draw like him - they rarely retire in absolute financial security. I listen to some podcasts with Brendan Schaub on them, and he thinks it's dodgy as fuck.

These guys risk brain damage, injuries, and even death - for pay that doesn't always set them up for life. I'm sick of watching people get their faces punched in either way, I think.
