I honestly think the Tony fight will be a war for Khabib, both have excellent cardio but from what I hear Tony is just a machine. Khabib likes to grind opponents down tire them out psyhically and mentally, Tony has great BJJ something I havent seen Khabib come up against from what I remember. Tony’s elbows are like razor blades everyone he fights is bleeding. Hopefully it happens this year finally.

Let's hope no one leaves any camera cables laying around...:cautious:

If you don’t like Khabib style then you are not an MMA fan I guess.

Also, if you like Conor because he ‘stands up and fights’* then perhaps you’re better off following boxing or kick boxing? Everyone pretty much stands and fights there!

* He does this because he isn’t good enough in other areas of the game.

OK guys, so what's the feeling about Whittaker v Adesanya and Masvidal v Diaz?

Two absolute stormers. I'm finding it impossible to call either of them, to be honest.

I want Whitaker to win, I think style bender will take it if he can keep it standing.
Jorge will take Diaz IMO

I really like all four fighters for different reasons. The Whittaker v Adesanya fight is just too close to call for me, but I have a feeling Israel may take it. Masvidal v Diaz, once again very very close but the thing which tells me Diaz might take it, is knowing he doesn't care how much punishment he takes, his cardio is off the chart. His face may be a bloody mess, but that's when he seems to be at his most dangerous, so I'm going for Diaz and Adesanya, but it's going to be a hell of a night!!

Masvidal has great cardio which makes me think he will have Diaz its going to be a close fight but I think Masvidal has just that something extra. War is coming though.

I like Whitaker as is he just seems like a humble murderer. Adesyana has fantastic stand up which is why I see it going to the ground ASAP from Whitaker. MMA is crazy though so we might see something crazy happen in both fights.

Well there you go then. The Reaper knocked spark out in round two. I must admit I didn't see that one coming as it did, but Adesanya is a worthy new champion. He is a fucking beast and I can't see anyone around at the moment to take the belt off him. Maybe Whittaker will fancy a re-match.

Whitaker looked very one dimensional charging forward, leaping with wild punches, Style bender just kept slipping and countering very easy work for him. There are a few who could be serious trouble for him Costa,Romero and just for a great stand up fight Urijah Hall but then again I thought Whitaker would have put up a good fight. Did you happen to see Dan Hooker pick Raging Al apart, Dan hooker looks like a serious contender.

Obviously, Adesanya was by far the better man on the night, but my God, what an arrogant shitweasel. No class.

Yeah, I was very impressed with Hooker's performance, although I was a little surprised he was the fight favourite, even though he was ranked 15 and Raging Al was at 6. Maybe it was because the fight was in Melbourne and he was fighting in front of his own fans, which always gives a fighter an edge. I dunno.

Modern dat fighters only make £ by being assholes, the only exception is Khabib/Stipe Everyone has to have that asshole persona. All thanks to McGregor.

Did you catch the prelims there were some cracking fights that night?

Ridall vs Mullarkey- not very technical but just a fun fight if you like looking at future CTE suffers.
Potter vs Pitolo was okay some poor technique from both.

Khalid vs Silva good fight

Nadia v Ji yeon Kim was good serial killer face on Kim is funny

Izzy is a great fighter, what a performance. Looking forward to him v paulo costa next. Izzy will win that to. Cant see any stand up fighter beating him in that division.

Costa vs Stylenbender will be a real test for him, Costa outpaced Romero which was very impressive, Romero's awkward style could be an exciting match up if it ever happened. Costa has some serious shoulders on him, all real??

He showed modern fighters how much they can actually make by talking so much in the UFC, Sonnen, Ortiz and others get a mention but McGregor showed you generate a lot of money doing it.
