The way he uses his body is awesome for somebody his age, doesn't look out of place at all so far, I think we should use every opportunity to give him sub appearances especially to give Kane a rest when a game is wrapped up.

He deserves some cup games time

It's obviously such a lazy comparison, but he does remind me a little bit of Robbie Keane. His touch, his intelligence of where the ball is going to land and his craft hits some nostalgia buttons.

Could just be having an Irish striker, though.

His hold up play is much better than Keane's ever was though.

Looks like it could be, but I didn't want to judge that as I've only seen the pre-season games this year and felt like I'd already heaped a lot of praise on him. He looks fairly well-built as well, and he's pretty tall. Really excited about him though, something romantic about a youth team striker.

Can't wait for him to score tonight and pull one of these off :sneaky:

Though, if this is true, and isn’t to imply his touch, control under pressure, and awareness are better than Keane’s - which would be tough to claim off a couple of friendlies - doesn’t it end up mainly saying that he’s bigger than Keane and chooses to hold the ball up?

Funny he actually reminds me more of Berbatov than Keane. Still only 17 and about 6ft May have another inch left in him so in stature he’s much more like a classic 9 with good touch and technique. Don’t think he’s as buzzy as Keane was. In physical appearance he’s incredibly similar to another Irish great in Frank Stapleton.

Hopefully he gets some more minutes today. Would love to see him in the squad for next weekends opener too.

Do you think he’d make a good cb?
