Funny he actually reminds me more of Berbatov than Keane. Still only 17 and about 6ft May have another inch left in him so in stature he’s much more like a classic 9 with good touch and technique. Don’t think he’s as buzzy as Keane was. In physical appearance he’s incredibly similar to another Irish great in Frank Stapleton.
Tee hee :playful:

Is he more similar in style of play to Keano or more like a young Norman Whiteside? Or is there a better comparison in terms of his playing style?

With Son suspended, then i'd say pretty certain tbh.

No back up out and out number 9 signed this window, and for the first time in a few years we don't have a 'senior' back up for Kane.

Is this a sign that Parrott is a bona fide member of the first team now, or perhaps an indication that Pochettino thinks Son and Lucas is enough, or maybe just a sign that we've given up on finding a back up for Kane? Maybe a combination of all three? How many minutes do you think Parrott will see this season?

I wouldn’t mind seeing him get half an hour after Kane’s first half hatrick tomorrow

If he learns about hard work and humility off Harry, then he be alright.

I’m really excited about the kid tbh. Looked excellent with the bits I saw pre-season. He has an amazing opportunity, to play with arguably the best ever spurs squad. I hope he grabs it with both hands.

I like we are covered with Son and Moura but it still gives him an opportunity. I know it was pre season but most importantly for me at 17 he looks physically ready. People are talking about Greenwood as a serious option at United and nobody is even questioning it.

We were fortunate that our striking options a few years back, or rather lack of them, allowed Kane a path into the team. Parrott has an opportunity that Kane had, albeit with ‘just’ Kane ahead. From his point of view Dybala would have slowed his progress. Grab it lad!

Hoping to see this kid regularly on the bench for us and possibly starting in League cup, etc.

Our new number 52, taking over from Spurs legend Oliver Skipp.

Reckon he should have gone for Kane's lucky number 37, though...

Completely agree. He has that languid side to his game. In the pre-season games he was up against some seriously good seasoned players and he looked so equipped to handle it. I remember the first time I saw Berba in a spurs shirt. Could tell immediately he had something real special. This lad has left a similar impression with me. He’s unpredictable, has a lot of variety to his game, and whilst not quite as speedy as Keane, he’s a feisty fella which I like. When I first saw Kane i didn’t get the hype (obviously proves I have no idea).

Honestly believe Parrott alongwith the increased maturity and confidence we’ve seen in Skipp are like two further signings.

So much to be excited about.

Think you’re stretching things a bit as last season both Moura and Son showed they can play as a CF in our system. As far as I am concerned we have 4 CFs ... Kane, Son, Moura and Parrott.

Since Berbatov we've had Pav, Soldado and Janssen as number nine, the curse has got steadily worse year on year. Yikes.
Who will be the next brave soul to try the dreaded number 9?

Hard to see him getting minutes if he can’t make that bench today at home Vs Villa. Why we needed x3 DMs is beyond me. Should have been there ahead of wanyama or Nkoudou. Just hope he doesn’t enter Pochettino lost zone and end up not even playing for U23. Strikers need to play for confidence and rhythm.
