Is he on our wishlist now?So Werner has joined Chelsea. Good bit of business by them.

'Only' €50 million too. Absolute steal and Chelsea making the most of the uncertainty with the market by committing funds early. So Werner has joined Chelsea. Good bit of business by them.
Personally I think he will be a flopSo Werner has joined Chelsea. Good bit of business by them.
No chance we’ll sign a lb. got Davies and sess plus Tanganga can play in an emergency. DM and back up to Kane have to be the top priorities.

I don't think it's luck, they've operated very shrewdly of late after Sarri came in as coach. They're also utilising their excellent academy. They will have always cheated their way to this position though, no matter how much they might claim to be self sustainable. This is only true because of the knock on effect of huge asset sales from the initial Abramovich investment.Chelsea have to be the luckiest bunch of ***** going. Got a transfer ban, that has helped them amass a large transfer kitty, which they can now unleash in a decimated ongoing COVID transfer market and really maximise it.

Honestly, don’t feel any of those LB options good enough for a side chasing or in Champions League.
I agree, some of their loan deals they have done and getting them into the team have been very good. However, their extensive investment in youth and clever use of loan system largely made that feasible, in that they were able to bring the likes of Tomori, James, Mount, Abraham etc back in to plug the gaps in their squad whilst they couldnt buy anyone, they were all improved after being loaned out to play competitive football. That isn’t so much luck.
Eh, you make your own luck. We've been shit in the transfer market for years, they've proven to be pretty good at it for over a decade now.Chelsea have to be the luckiest bunch of ***** going. I honestly think we should just pile all our money in on a DM. God knows who, but not keen on strengthening our already strong attack. Right back is the only other area of concern I’d say.
Fair point. I don’t mind Son replacing Kane, but as you’ve said, having Moura up there doesn’t work. The usual tough job of finding someone top class that will only play when Kane is out I suppose.I think backup CF with some presence is just as important. It was so painful watching us play with Moura up top, we had no ‘out ball’ and as such turned the vall over time and again, just inviting repeat pressure onto ourselves.
The one constant in all Mourinho systems has been a focal physical striker. Chelsea (1) - Drogba, Inter - Milito, Real Madrid - Benzema, Chelsea (2) - Costa, Utd - Lukaku.
