I want Liberato Cacace, and Eran Zahavi.
And a koulibaly would be nice, but we're not spending on him.

January:

IN
Soumare
Bale (loan in)
Cavani or dzeko
Ferguson

OUT
Eriksen
Wanyama
Kwp

I personally believe with Soumare and Cavani, we can achieve top 4.
Add Bale and we can win a trophy.

We'll be out of the FA Cup before we sign any more players in this window...

I don't have a wishlist for incomings. I'm not at all up to speed with the players who are performing, who could do a job for us, as I tend to only watch our matches.
Outgoings between now and the end of summer window:

Rose
Dier
Vorm
Aurier
Eriksen
Wanyama
KWP (assuming Jose has no intention to use him)
Dele (unless he starts performing regularly)

Out:
  • Eriksen - the money coming in for him is going to make very little difference, but freeing up a squad space and the wages from somebody that isn't really interested can be a big help.
  • Wanyama - unfortunately, Victor is dead.
  • KWP - I wouldn't have said this at the start of the window, but it seems his time has come. Get a good fee and decent sell on, maybe even a buy back. If that's actually a thing and not just a Spanish thing.
  • Vorm - he shouldn't have been brought back in the first place, with Austin and Whitehead around. Now Lloris is almost back, why is he taking up a spot?

In:
  • Cavani - suits all parties to have him until the end of his contract. We just need somebody to cover for Kane and he'd be so ideal. Second choice would be Jovic, but I think that's unlikely. Third choice would be Slimani, partly to prove that I'm right about him. Arp would actually be my ideal signing, but that ship has long since sailed I think. I also really like Waldschmidt by the way.
  • Aarons - a proper right back, and Norwich aren't staying up so they should cash in now.
  • Soumare - I know very little about him, but everybody else seems to rate him and I do love a bandwagon. Florentino Luis would be perfect though. João Palhinha would be my other choice.
  • Ake - see Aarons, but replace the word 'right' with 'centre' and the word 'norwich' with 'bournemouth'. Another option, what's going on with Ben Wilmot? Is he still good. Can we have him?
  • Fernandes - look, it is not the most pressing of positions, but I love the man and can't face him joining Man Utd.
  • Trincão - I'm getting greedy now, but he is the most exciting youngster in Liga Nos, and I bet we could get him for under €5m. He'll probably end up going to Sporting or Benfica or Porto in the summer, but get him in now. He can play anywhere in our front four spots, a bit like Sonny, but is best on the wings.

Don't really think we're going to get much done in January so this is a longer term wish list.

Out ASAP (Age as of September 1, 2020)
Eriksen
(28) (75k/week)
Wanyama (29) (65k)
Rose (30) (60k)
Aurier (27) (70k)
KWP (23) (20k)
CCV (22) (20k)

Tough Decisions

In my opinion, all these players should go. But considering the glacial speed at which this club moves at, I doubt we can move all of them and get replacements in.

Vertonghen
(33) (100k/week): He should be replaced with a Mourinho signing, especially if Tanganga is in the long-term plans. But CB isn't necessarily a top priority, I'd rather address other positions in the summer window so if we don't get around to CB, maybe he sticks around as depth for another season. Think we could do a lot better considering I doubt he'd accept less than his current 100k/week salary.

Lamela (28) (80k): This one hurts as I love the lad to death, but he hasn't played more than half the season since 2015/2016. Can't allocate resources and squad space to someone who is never healthy. Sell while he still has value.

Sissoko (31) (90k): Been a lovely redemption story and is a great character, but he really should be a squad player for a club of our ambitions and at 31, we'd be better off getting a fee while we can and going younger.

Dier (26) (60k): Genuinely vexed by this one, was one of our most reliable and healthy players for the first 4 seasons at the club and then has fallen into some pit of bad luck and despair the last 12 months. Is it just a matter of him getting healthy and back fit or is he totally broken? If he keeps playing like this, we can't keep him.

Foyth (22) (21.5k): I've always been underwhelmed by him and if Tanganga's emergence is real, I would sell him and use the funds to let Mourinho buy one of his preferred CBs.

Additions:

We need YOUTH, YOUTH, YOUTH. We've let this team age far too much and the likes of Eriksen, Rose, Wanyama, Vertonghen, Lamela, Sissoko, and Aurier should be replaced with players under 25 to replenish our squad. Good start with Ndombele, Lo Celso, Sessegnon and Gedson alongside the full-time elevation of Skipp, Tanganga, and Parrott to the first team even though that has mostly been as reserves so far. With Kane, Lloris, Son, Alderweireld, Moura, Davies, Sanchez, and Winks we still have strong group of players and leaders who went through the wars under Pochettino and have been to a UCL final and finished top 4 four seasons in a row, among other personal and international achievements.

Priorities:
  1. Defensive/Pivot Midfielders: A #6 is the biggest priority for me, but it is also just pathetic how lacking we are in mobility in midfield with Ndombele and Sissoko injured. We desperately need some ball winners to protect our backline. First choices would be Wilfred Ndidi (23) and Eduardo Camavinga (17), they are both at the top in Europe in tackles won but I think Ndidi will be too expensive and Camavinga will have bigger fish after him. So I'd say buy both Denis Zakaria (23) and Boubakary Soumare (21). Zakaria, Ndombele, Soumare, Winks, and Gedson is good mix of skills in the midfield. Get Skipp a proper loan.
  2. Right Back: Clear out our current stable and start over. Achraf Hakimi (21) is my dream signing here, but I think based on how long we've been after Max Aarons (20) for, he'll be the priority in the summer. Get in one of Nathan Ferguson (19) or Jayden Bogle (20) to deputize for him.
  3. Striker: Kane can't be relied on for a whole season and going forward we need to rotate him regularly to protect his health. Victor Osimhen (21) at Lille is a clear first choice for me, I think he's actually better than Soumare. Reminds me a lot of Tammy Abraham in playing style. Also like the look of Odsonne Edouard (22) at Celtic, I've heard both Celtic fans and those familiar with the French youth set up say he's better than Dembele.
  4. Wide Forward: Need two in here. Eberechi Eze (22) seems likely, perfect back-up for Son with some flexibility to play elsewhere. Then to replace Lamela and compete with Moura at RW, I'd go for Marcus Thuram (23). He's been superb at Gladbach and can also lead the line, if necessary.
  5. Center Back: I've been beating the drum for either of the young French lads at RB Leipzig: Dayot Upamecano (21) or Ibrahima Konate (21). Ruben Dias (23) seems a natural connection now with Mourinho and Mendes. Ben White (22), Benoit Badashile (19), Ben Godfrey (21), etc. Plenty of good young CB talent around.

Lloris (33)
Aarons (20) Dias (23) Alderweireld (30) Sessengnon (20)
Zakaria (23) Ndombele (23)
Thuram (23) Lo Celso/Dele (24) Son (27)
Kane (27)

Gazzaniga (27)
Ferguson (19) Sanchez (23) Tanganga (20) Davies (26)
Winks (24) Gedson/Soumare (21)
Moura (27) Lo Celso/Dele (24) Eze (22)
Osimhen (21)

Winter Window:

Out: Eriksen, Wanyama, Rose, KWP, CCV, Foyth (loan)

In:
Striker -- We desperately need a striker of some sort in this window and the most realistic options appear to me to be Piatek or Alcacer. Both are poachers who would require us to change our style of play a bit, so not necessarily ideal if we are looking for a target man or like-for-like Kane replacement, but I think we simply have to be willing to take what is available and rely on Jose's tactical acumen to make it work. Personally, between the two I'd prefer Alcacer as he's more well-established. I also like Alcacer because he can play as a WF, giving us the option of playing Son - Kane - Alcacer across the front three if we move to a 4-3-3 next season.

Defensive Midfielder -- If our formation is eventually going to rely on having a DM in it, and Jose's continued discussion of "positional midfielders" in his press conferences suggests that it is, then we really need to bring in two DMs over the next two windows considering that there's not even so much as a single competent player in this position in the squad. So for me that means that we'd be perfectly okay bringing in a competent squad player level signing this window to get us over the line for this season. I think Sander Berge would fit the bill. He's not the ideal Kante/Ndidi clone that we all want, but he's a big unit who can shield the back line and is good with the ball at his feet, can beat a press and has the passing ability to keep us ticking over. It'd be a massive upgrade for the remainder of this season, would allow us to loan out Skipp for 18 months and bring in a young talent who has all the ideal attributes (Camavinga is probably beyond our reach, but someone of that type) in the summer to bed in over the course of next season. Berge is reportedly available for a mere 18m so if he were even modestly successful we could sell him on at a reasonable profit in 18 months after the young signing has settled in as first choice and Skipp has been brought back into the fold.

I think that's all we really need and all we can realistically ask for this window. The emergence of Tanganga has really papered over the cracks in the back line and allows us to punt those issues to the summer.

Summer Window:

Out: Aurier, Dier, Vertonghen, Lamela, Lucas, Sissoko

In: Top young DM talent, RB, Ferguson as utility player across the back line, RWF, Eze, potentially a CB depending on how Foyth does on loan, potentially a LB depending on how Sessegnon progresses over the second half of this season

Out in Jan:
Eriksen - £15m
Wanyama - £5m
Rose - £10m
KWP - £15m
Parrott (loan)
Clarke (loan)
total - £45m

Recruit in Jan:
Gedson - £5m loan
Semedo or Atal - £35m
Cavani - £15m
total - £55m

Out in the Summer:
Vorm - free
Vertonghen - free
Aurier - £20m
Foyth - £20m (buy back option included)
Skipp (loan)
Parrott (loan)
total - £40m

Recruit in the Summer:
Ferguson - free
(Camavinga or Zakaria) - £50m
Dias or Upamecano - £55m
Eze - £15m
Karl Darlow or John Ruddy - Free

total - £120m

Net spend - £90m-£100m

Squad:

GK: Lloris, Gazzaniga, (Darlow or Ruddy)
RB: (Semedo or Atal), Ferguson
LB: Davies, Sessegnon
CB: Alderweireld, Sanchez, Tanganga, (Dias or Upamecano)
CM: Gedson, Ndombele, Sissoko, Winks, Dier, (Camavinga or Zakaria)
AM: Lo Celso, Son, Eze, Dele, Clarke, Lucas, Lamela
FWD: Kane, Cavani

(Skipp & Parrott out on season long loans)

8 out, 8 in, 3 ins this window, 5 in the summer for £90m-£100m overall cost. Would prefer Aarons over Ferguson but he won't be interested and good value for the money as a backup/ rotation RB so go for the better quality in Semedo or Atal and get Ferguson on a free. Darlow and Ruddy out of contract in the summer so get a cheap HG 3rd choice for numbers. If Aston Villa go down I'd go for Grealish again instead of Eze for a larger fee but I think that ship has sailed.

Donnarumma on a free or Onana the summer after (2021)

Out Eriksen
Out Rose I'd offer him & Foyth on loan to Norwich for rest of season if they'd sell us Jamal Lewis he has loads of potential needs work on his crossing but he can defend (defensively I think he's better than Aarons) , quick two footed HG & wouldn't cost to much
Out Foyth loan

In Jamal Lewis 15ml

Out, Aurier take the money & run even if its a loan to buy obligation, I'd go for Mazraoui Ajax can play DM (natural position) & RB Ajax have Dest already as a replacement, let Tanganga continue at RB & Mazraoui can play holding midfield roll

In Mazraoui 20ml

Out KWP let him go play take 10ml & put add ons in
Out Skipp loan to summer, needs to play

Striker
My first choice would be Belotti Torino they wouldn't want to sell so wouldn't be cheap but how ambitious are we is the question I'd offer 30ml & Lamela that would give them a player & the finance to get Pjatek
Out Lamela? 20-25ml

2nd choice would be José Maciás from Chivas similar to Suarez in style he looks to have a good future & Mexican clubs don't look for a lot of money 8-10ml & they'd take the arm off ye

3rd choice would be trade Aurier+10ml for Pjatek, Milan want a RB & could be something everyone ends up happy with

All else fails in striker search.. Nelson Olivera is been offered around is he good enough longterm no but he has experience playing in England can play the hold up roll & put himself about, wouldn't expect goals from him but he's a body & if it was deal until summer then better than nothing.. Alternatively just play Lamela upfront better at roughing up defenders than Moura

Team until summer 4-1-3-1-1
Gk Lloris
RB Tanganga
CB Alderweireld
CB Verthonge
LB Sessegnon
DM Mazraoui
CM Ndombele
RCM Lo celso
LCM Dele
2nd St Son
CF Belotti
