Ange inherited a decent enough squad?
Since his appointment we've brought in Maddison, Van de Ven, Vicario, Gray, Bergval, Johnson, Tel, Odebert, Dragusin, Danso, Kinsky and Solanke, that doesn't suggest anything of the kind to me.
Still way more quality than any other side has bar Chavs, City, Arse and Pool. Probably on level to Villa. And if we finish a season behind these five teams fair enough, we are miles away to achieve that though and every single win feels like a pleasant surprise.

My point was that if we needed to bring in that many players Ange Postecoglu obviously didn't inherit a decent enough squad.
Wouldn't you agree?

decent enough to be top 10 no?

Half of those players have only just arrived and the other half have been injured, some for a long time.

So that considered, yes it's good enough to be top 10 (probably much higher) but not right now.
It's called a rebuild for a reason and @worcestersauce 's point was that Ange didn't inherit a decent squad, he's still very much in the process of trying to build one.

Issue we might have is that Chelsea will be all over him at this rate.
I think it's a stretch to say they'll get rid of him - not so long ago they were challenging. Getting rid of Poch was weird. I'd be surprised if they did the same thing this summer.

I see Gimenez is now 2 in 2 for AC Milan. I hope this doesn't turn out to be another one we got wrong. I know we were strongly interested at some stage...

Coventry had two managers when they won the 87 cup final

I'm not at all concerned about that personally - he didn't look like the required quality

He might turn out OK, and there's always that small chance, but for me he looked some way off, and doing it for AC (against Feyenoord no less) isn't much of an indication

Happy with Solanke
