That's a shame, we'd been putting up a great fight til the last 5-10 minutes... I don't watch/know too much about our women's team (something I'm trying to actively change!) but Kennedy and Zadorsky ability-wise look levels above watching this game..

The goals were always coming. Shame though as we put up a good fight, but Arsenal are just levels above us and that’s to be expected.

But there positives to take from it though

Spurs problem was always gonna be scoring goals against this arsenal team. A fit Morgan would help but from the few games I've seen they do struggle to create good chances against the better teams.

I really enjoyed watching Alanna Kennedy. Pretty good at what she does. Thought the managers took a bit too long getting Dean in the match.

I take it Alex Morgan is severely lacking match fitness? Surprised she didn't even get 10 minutes at the end.

Am I the only one that finds it weird that the ref Lucy Oliver is Michael Olivers wife ?

Is that genuinely true? I heard her name and because of the surname it made me think of that useless twat. If that really is true then I feel sorry for her to have to put up with him. She's most likely far better at the job too. He's utter trash.

The waiting was on the wall, we began to struggle and the subs were too slow in coming. Kit graham was almost non-existent in the whole game. Rihanna Dean should have started, along side Ayane who has good pace, fitness and makes good runs.
Taking off Ashley Neville was a massive mistake, she is a rock in our defence and presses well.
It was all too late to think about bringing Morgan on, if Graham had gone off at half time and they brought Morgan on then...great!
But the game was lost & bringing her on would have embarrassed the girl and not have been a wise move.

That aside, the first half was a bloody good game, only one real chance for us but promising from Kennedy, very promising.
Well organised defence, played out well just lacked (as usual) in the final third of the pitch.
Hopefully, this is where Morgan will show her skill and start winning us games...COYSW!!

She hasn't played for like a year. Injury, then gave birth. She's only had one week of training.

Lets be honest here
We closed down space for a long time but we are way behind in quality.
For 60 minutes we broke up their game plan with endeavour but our midfield in terms of actual football ability was lacking. When we could actually control a ball or have time on it then our lack of ability was shown up.
Didnt feel as though we deserved to lose 4-0 but always felt was about damage limitation.
Whole game though is so poor - dont know how can be compared to mens level. Call me sexist if you want but honest at least.

That's the point... It's not meant to be compared to the men's game. It's meant to be taken at face value as its own thing.

Then don't compare it? Take it as it is.

Yep it's true, can imagine their boring dinner table conversations about their refereeing decisions

The ladies take on Man City away today. 12:30 kick-off. Available to view live on the BBC Red Button and FA Player app/website. International supporters can watch on the FA Player app.

Another tough game for our girls, I was at the home game when we played Man City @ the Hive last season, they are an incredibly strong and talented team. We were pretty much overwhelmed by them. If we can holdout for a point against them today then we should count ourselves lucky.
Will we see the superstar Morgan in action today? Depending on the score in the second half, she may get 15-20 mins...COYSW!!

City's team is too strong, most of their bench would walk into our team. No Morgan on the bench.

4-1 to City, so a bit of spanking again. I'm guessing though that Arsenal and Man City are a couple of the standout teams in the league?

For people more knowledgeable than me - is the realistic target to stay up and hopefully get mid table as it's our first season in the top flight?
