Really great day. Thought the introduction of Grant and Vinberg changed everything. Charlie Grant is so so so fast. A real shame for Grace Clinton (who was by far our best player in the first half, but you could see her getting both tired and frustrated) to miss the final, but she'll just have to join full time next season won't she and they won't have this problem!

Was disappointed with the size of the crowd - I think I read it was about 18,000. But I did then see someone point out on twitter this morning, that most games only get 500-1000 fans, so even if just 5% of those that attended start going to more games, it'll have a huge affect.

Fingers crossed I'll get tickets to the final. My wife is away, so if anybody knows a dog sitter in Norwich that would make my life a lot easier!

Yeah agree they were both great. Especially impressed by Charli. Thought Nilden had a tough game. She wasn't bad by any stretch but Rantala kept her pinned back for most of the game so we didn't see the best of her. Always surprises me how aggressive (in a good way) Charli Grant is. Maybe its just because she's this bubbly, smiley little blonde Aussie but then steps on the pitch and is a bit of a shithouse. Bloody love her.

I was a bit disappointed too, but like you said, still more than we usually get. I'm a season ticket holder and I think there's usually something like 1.3k a week (which is still an improvement on last year) and 18k is double what we could have fit in Brisbane Road. I guess we have to start somewhere.

Grace posted on her instagram this afternoon "Absolutely gutted I can't take part in the final! But I will be our biggest fan supporting the girls at Wembley 🤍 coys". Considering we're against her parent club I think that's as big an indication of where her heart lies in all of this. Most players in her situation would just keep their mouths shut either way.

I think in the men's game for sure, but fans of the women's seem a lot less tribalistic and more supportive overall.

Hope this is a sign that she is looking to come here permanently and keep growing as a player while we grow as a club.

Remember when O'Hara was on loan at Pompey and posted something praising them when they beat us in the semi in 2010 which he couldn't play. He got dogs abuse on this site and all over the Spurs internet for that. But as easley says, the women's game is a bit less tribalistic and more chilled out about those things, thankfully.

You obviously haven't had the pleasure of encountering the United women fans online 😂 They're the most entitled, insufferable lot going. Which is saying something considering they've never actually won anything.

When do the tickets go on sale for wembley? We've been to a few of the women's matches that should be a good day out

They said on social media today that ticket information will be provided shortly. I assume they'll do the same with the semi-final and sell them in phases.

We only get 12,000 tickets so will be interesting to see how they sell them. Of course women's ST holders first, but then maybe prioritising people who've been to at least a couple of women's games if that's something their system can do?

That's less than what was at the game on Sunday? Seems like it's going to be a mad rush to get anything when they get put on sale.

Yeah the rest went on general sale, which is sold out now. Seems like a crazy low number though. I suppose its because they were worried teams wouldn't sell a bigger allocation (though 12k is double what the allocation was last year) but a final with mostly neautrals isn't great.

I would prefer if they did it that way, the only issue is that I know of people who go regularly who mostly just buy them on the day at the ticket office and I'm not sure you need to do much more than give them money so there would be no record that you've been. Would be fairer if they could do it like that though. Wouldn't seem right for those who go often but aren't a member or ST holder to not be able to get them over someone who is just a ST holder of the mens team but never shown an interest before.

On the ticket issue even if they don't have records of who has been to Brisbane Road the club will have a record of any St's or members who purchased tickets for the Arsenal & Leicester games and they could also give priority to those who have already purchased tickets for the West Ham game which is after the final. Sure it can be done, they should be able to compile a loyalty points table of at least the lead buyer of tickets for those games.
By the time you take off player squad and club staff allocation maybe 10,000 tickets available if your lucky.

It can but even then it could still end up being unfair. There were more people who were at the Arsenal and Leicester games than go to Brisbane Road so those who go more often still may find it harder to get tickets.

I don't think there's a way to make it completely fair for those fans unfortunately though.

Always been the same with finals, some tickets for Brisbane Rd must have been sold through ticketmaster on the club website so they should have a record of those purchases.

PS The Brighton game at Brisbane Rd is on sale now on the website , if I wanted a cup final ticket I'd take a chance and book for that game , you never know that game might get priority.

I keep thinking back to last year and how awful our season was and if you'd told me that we'd be in the FA Cup final I never would have believed you.

Also the first women game I ever went to was an FA Cup final in 2011 and the attendance was something like 13k (and I'm pretty sure my ticket was free). That Arsenal team also had a very young Becky Spencer on the bench so it sort of feels like a full circle moment that she'll be our keeper for our first ever final and there will be almost as many Tottenham fans there as there was the whole attendance that day.

On the financial side the Cup Final appearance will give a boost to the Women's accounts which have just been published. Latest figures up to June 2023 show a loss of £2.4 million, Sundays win was worth £160,000 in prize money , win the final and get £430,000 , loser gets £108,000 , add the gate money in from the women's games at The Lane should see a cut in those losses in the next accounts.

Just to put the women's game into perspective last accounts show , 25 players & football admin staff , 30 administration staff making a total of 55 on the women's side , salaries and bonuses £2.5 million that works out at an average of approx. £46,100 per person , just wonder what the managers and players are getting.

Just seems weird. They wouldn't do it the other way round, let the clubs fills their boots and then general sale offering after for neutrals.

I went to the Womens FA Cup final last year as a neutral with my daughter and it was a pretty good day out, they had loads of activites around the stadium to keep us entertained, very different feel to the Semi against Utd a few years back.

I agree, but that's womens football for you. Sometimes I think the organisers are more interested in making it a nice day out for families and then remember after that there is also a football game on.
