Overall structure of the team looked good but we were so poor in the final third. Thomas wasteful, Naz so frustrating - looks like she could offer so much more but is so timid.
Also it is a bit concerning that despite all the players brought in in the last couple of years, Neville and Spence are still our best players in deep build up.

Robert has improved the play immensely. For forty minutes they pressed, passed and moved as well as I've ever seen them. However, as usual against a top 5 team, we look really toothless. We just don't have many players who can strike the ball powerfully; most of today's shots were timidly despatched straight at the goalie.

England, Thomas and Naz are fine against the weaker teams, but against the best I have little confidence. They huffed and puffed but except for Thomas little run in the first half didn't really work the goalie. Terland looked much more threatening. At 3-0 Guning-Williams and Dennis may as well have been given the last half an hour.

It was very a very frustrating watch. None of it helped by injuries (3 of our key starters) but our being so out of form is worrying. Our only starting attacker who seems to be on form is Raso and she was one of the ones out with an injury, which isn't surprising seeing as Liverpool spent 90 minutes kicking her and getting away with it.

I'm really hopeful we just stick with 1 striker in the next game and that Vinberg starts. Jess Naz looks lost out on the wing, she rarely takes players on, doesn't press, doesn't play the ball into the box and doesn't track back (which was evident with United first goal). I know shes more of a striker now, but those are the basics and if you can't do those, you shouldn't be starting. Martha isn't a winger but relentlessly presses all the time no matter where she plays.

The plus side was that our midfield did look better than it has the past couple of games, even with Maite Oroz out.

Plus side.. Chelsea away next 🙃

My pa got three tickets for the Woolwich game in November, taking my neice, her first time to a match & first time in a football stadium, going to be a fun day out. Hope the league's still close between us by then.

I hope so too but Eidevall has just left them so they may actually get a competent manager now to make the most of the ridiculous talent they have!

Amanda Nilden just scored what looks like a goal where the ball clearly did not cross the line to draw us level at Chelsea 😂 I’m still pretty confident we won’t get much from this game but I’ll take what we can get!

Not sure whether it was in or out. It bounced on the line and then went further in, but goal line tech has shown us that ball can go inside and still touch the line.
A throwback to the time in mens game you just had to accept refs call, assistant didn't hesitate to raise flag.

1-2 we're still in it

Yeah it’s really impossible to say if it was over or not.

And the rest of the game pretty much has gone how I thought it would 😂

Great free kick from Summanen to get another goal, but it’s looking like 5-2 to Chelsea.

A frustrating game but we won so can’t complain too much.
It could be due to injuries but I do wish Robert would stop shoehorning Beth, Martha and Jess into the team. Would rather keep Jess on the bench to come on against tired legs for now. She runs a lot but doesn’t do much else too often.

Only her second appearance and first start but Ella Morris looks like she could be a special player. And England are in need of a right back!

Think someone asked at the fan forum why more women's games are not played at our 60,000 plus stadium, looking at the score so far tonight I think the answer is pretty obvious.
