Very poor from those involved in the organisation of that. Didn't seem smart at the time and now it's proven to certainly not have been. Kyrios has had a few digs at Djokovic on twitter for this too. The two of them really don't get on so I can't wait for the next match between them!

Oh and cheers for the heads up with the live tennis @Arnoldtoo, had no idea this was on.

Poor Djokovic is probably now sat at home in self-isolation crying and wondering why no one likes him (n)

At least now he's tested positive he wouldn't have to get vaccinated...

Any tennis fans with an Amazon Prime login, Murray is about to start his first round match at US open (y)

Also got an interesting first round match on the ladies side with Jo Konta up against Heather Watson (unfortunatley looks like they’ll be playing at the same time as Andy’s match)

Yesterday was a very good first day for the Brits with Norrie getting a great win in 5 against the #9 seed Schwatrzman and Edmund also getting a nice first round win.

Wow thank you for the heads up!

Anyone playing tennis at the moment? I'm really enjoying getting back into it, signed up to my David Lloyd club to be able to play indoor with the cold weather approaching and currently fishing for a new racket.

It's not going to be a walkover by any means.

Played yesterday and will again Friday. Just ventured back into my David Lloyd club. Not going to risk the gym just yet though!

Oh nice ? Do you pay attention to rackets and strings that you use and such? Am really excited as I can now hopefully play all year round as opposed to just the summer.

Used to pay a lot of attention to strings, but less so these days, so long as I've got something that will give me spin. For me the racket is more important. It needs good aerodynamics when I throw it!

Haha true, I try to resist the urge! Am demoing a couple at the moment so I'll regret damaging them :D

Nishhioka is not giving him that many chances, and Murray's precision is not the best today, but he's still showing a lot of fight.

Anyone want to play my new Nishioka drinking game?

Drink every time the commentators call him Nishikori.

I wanna try playing some futures once the pandemic has toned down (or once we have learned how to live with covid), but I will turn 33 next march and I'm not exactly rich, so it's probably not the wisest idea.

I spent the last three years prior to the arrival of covid training at an academy, and I was matching quite well against the juniors, but my physical condition still needs to improve quite a bit.

Wow really? I assume you're at quite a good level then?

What's your style like? As in one-handed or two-handed backhand, play with spin or like to hit flat, baseline or net player etc.
