Looking not bad at all, to be fair, but he's nowhere near match fit, and understandably so. No expectations for this year, I think, but next year, who knows.

So, anyone else saw Nick Kyrgios latest meltdown at the Cincinnati Open?

I have never been a fan of his, I actually used to dislike a lot his attitude and weak mentality (and sometimes even cheer when he is eliminated from a tournament), but watching him tonight disgracing himself like that? Well, I just feel very bad for him right now. I don't think he is a bad person, but he clearly has got some anger issues and he needs to learn how to deal with them or all that potential of his will go to waste.

Tennis is my favorite sport in the world and I practice it at a junior level (even though I'm 31 years old, haha), so I definitely appreciate the amazing talent NIck has got. If he sorts himself out, well, he definitely could win a couple of slams.

He wins in Washington at the beginning of the month, saying he's trying to improve his behaviour, then the next two tournaments he acts like a 2 year old and loses. It's sad and stupid. He should be top 5 by now.

Another disappointing slam for the next generation of challengers, such talent in Zverev, Thiem and Pouille but they’re not making it count when it matters.

Love seeing Medvedev turn into a panto villain with the crowd and giving some back in his post match interviews

I was disappointed to see Thiem and Tsitsipas going out in the first round. Zverev at last made the 4th, but he's having a shit year (compared to last) and I didn't really expect him to get that far.

Interesting top half with Stan, Medvedev, Rog and Dimitrov. Rafa's going to piss the bottom half. Another Federer / Nadal final?

I think Thiem wasn't good physically, because he had to walk off in the first round of Cincinnati. He's still the most promising of the lot, having made two RG finals already, that epic battle against Rafa at last year's us open and wining Indian Wells this year.

Zverevev, I've been a fan since he first started rising to fame but yesterday he simply looked way too insecure. Schwartzman was the one showing all the initiative, while Sascha was playing way too far away from the side lines.

Medvedev may be a total jerk, but he's definitely the real deal. I'm excited to see if he can pull it off against Wawrinka.

Was the first time I’d seen Schwartzman. He was hitting it so hard and so flat, reminded me a bit of Del Potro in his pomp if he can keep hitting like that it’ll be interesting against Nadal if he can get above those high bouncing forehands

Nadal will wipe him out. Schwatrzman is about 3 foot 6*. He'll need a step ladder to reach Rafa's forehands.

* May be an underestimate.

I believe two or three years ago they played in the US open and Nadal won in five or four sets, so he definitely can give him a match.

Well well well! Grigor v Medvedev. 2 days to recover so Medvedev could be fit. I'd love to see Dimitrov get to the final (and win it).

Congratulations to Rafa. When the going gets tough he is one tough mother!

Well played Medvedev too, and redeemed himself in his words to the crowd afterwards. He really needs to sort out his ball toss, but who am I to criticise that!

Amazing match, really. Almost as good as the Wimbledon final.

I was rooting for Daniil but Rafa absolutely deserved it. I was sure Djokovic would be the first to pass RF's Grand Slams record but now I'm having second thoughts.

Nick Kyrgios given suspended 16-week ban and fine for 'aggravated behaviour'

"Both fine and suspension will be triggered if the 24-year-old does not comply with certain conditions - including avoiding any further code violations incurring a fine."

It doesn't say over what time period, but what are the chances of Kyrgios avoiding a fine for any length of time?
