Too many 'unforced' errors from Alcaraz here. Needs to get his act together quickly.

Surprising how many loose 'rally' balls he's missing wide. Not sure if he's going for the lines too much as it doesn't appear to be a case of trying too much power. Saying that Medvedev is playing solidly if not spectacular.

Well played Carlito.

Sometimes I think he's enjoying playing too much to be clinical about winning, but he's certainly fun to watch.

He's going to have to go up another level to beat Djokovic, assuming he beats Musetti, which I think he will.

All looked relatively comfortable in the end for Alcaraz. Medvedev looks a shadow of his old/usual self, drained of all belief and just going through the motions after losing the 2nd set.

Loved the Spain banter

Medvedev can be like that when his head goes. I guess we all can, though, to be fair. I know I did. You'd have thought I'd get used to it given the number of matches I lost!

And as for the Spain bit; the crowd love him, don't they, and there was no animosity in the response. It occurred to me that If we were playing Serbia and it had been Djokovic making the comment, he wouldn't have got off the court alive!

What's the betting that the crowd give Novak a chorus of "Moooooosetti" when he wins a point :D

Now we all sit and wait to find out what he said to the umpire at the end of the first set after she (correctly) called a double bounce

Another Alcaraz - Djokovic final? I'm not sure my body is ready for that, they are like the new Djokovic - Fedal rivalry (the best tennis has ever seen). And after that Harry gets to play in another major european final (against an exciting Spanish side)? And to top it off, Messi gets to play likely his last major final ever?

This is going to be one of the best sundays ever, and yet those assholes at my job actually decided it would be a good idea to dishonour my contract and make me work tomorrow all day? Little do they know, I already have a new and better job lined up. But my financial situation is so dire at the moment, that I'm not sure if I could afford spending one week without a job. I have a tough decision to make tonight, haha.

5-1 to Djokovic first set last year, 5-1 to Alcaraz first set this year ...

Djokovic is playing well below his best, and Alcaraz is playing much better than in his earlier matches. Only one winner if it goes on like this, but I'm not writing Djokovic off yet.

Different level for Alcaraz, moved up a gear to get the break .

Always difficult to judge when one players is at the back end of their career but this looks like it’s hitting Djokovic hard

Idiot in the crowd who screamed mid-point should be drowned in a bowl of cream without being thrown a strawberry.
