it was a shocking challenge on him, very lucky to not come away with a broken ankle. i can't remember what his other injury was but i don't think two injuries(one of which was unavoidable) is enough to say he might be injury prone.

Well, it may have been just 1 kind of injury but knee injury kept on recurring so one easily could say that made him injury prone. Anyway, it's a pity he had to end his Spurs career like that.

Does the young player of the year award include young players in senior squad Skipp foyth etc ? Or just the youth players ? I guess it will probably be either Skipp or Parrott.

Under-16 central-midfielder Kallum Cesay signing his two-year scholarship contract, beginning on July 1st.

has cesay played cm much? i've only seen him at rb and either as a striker or a #10 so far. i don't think he looks particularly natural playing high up the pitch but i guess the same could have been said for reo who over time proved to be very effective there.

He’s played a variety of roles this season (RB/CB/DM/CM/AM/ST) and he seems to have played predominantly CM recently, as seen in the recent U17 tournament. I also asked him what his preferred position is and he said ‘CM’.

Shashoua's team Atletico Baleares win their group.

The four winning teams from each group enter the play-offs and are drawn into two semi-final matches. The two winners of the two-legged ties are promoted to the Segunda Division and also play each other in a final for the title of overall champions.

The two losing teams still have a chance to get promoted as they drop into the second stage of the next play-off rounds – with the second, third and fourth place teams – to battle for the two remaining promotion places.

Under-16 attacking-midfielder/winger Romaine Mundle has been pictured signing his two-year scholarship contract, beginning on July 1st. It was posted on his Snapchat story and had a caption across his body and a Giphy covering his face, so I deemed it unsuitable to post.

I believe all 13 of next season’s expected first year intake signed their two-year scholarship contracts on Thursday, but it’s now just a question of getting hold of the photos of all of them.

According to Harvey White’s snapchat story he’s been called up to England Under-18s. I haven’t bothered researching so I don’t know if this is for a tournament, friendly games or just a training camp, but it’s great news nonetheless. Nice to see he’s finally getting the recognition he deserves from England, as Spurs players are consistently underused for England’s age-group teams.

it's for some tournament in slovakia. binks, bennett and maghoma also called up. glad white has got his chance but still think markanday deserves a look, maybe i'm just being greedy though.

What's your opinion of Binks?. Keep hearing good things about him, but never seen him play. He was not there for the new stadium game vs Soton, and then got sent off vs Woolwich, which probably cost us the U18 title.

think he's decent. defends well first and foremost and has the toby diagonal in his locker, physically he looks on course but maybe lacks a bit of pace on the turn currently. for me i have him in the "promising" bracket but too early to go further than that. next season he will hopefully start playing more regularly for the u23s and we'll be able to gauge better after that. he missed the southampton game as he was with england and the sending off against arsenal looked a bit of a farce to me so he was a bit unlucky there.

Definitely not greedy, Markanday along with Jamie Bowden both deserve an Under-18 call-up, more so than Maghoma in my opinion.

Maghoma definitely has the talent but he’s been very inconsistent recently, which is the complete opposite of Bowden, who I believe is the most consistent of our Under-18s.

Markanday has been very good 90% of the time but he can go missing in the other 10%, which results in slight inconsistency, but he’s still deserved of a call-up.

Gonna start a bit of an ex-Spur round up. At Reading it was good news for right back Marcel Eva-Fontaine who has been offered his first professional contract whilst midfielder Royin Omolabi has been released.

At Birmingham midfielder Kane Thompson-Somers has won a professional contract.

At Burton attacking midfielder Will Miller has been released after a disappointing two night years.

At Oxford striker Jon Obika has been released.

At Wimbledon winger Andy Bircham has been released.

At Stevenage Joe Martin has been released.

At Swindon goalkeeper Lawrence Vigeroux has been released.

More updates as news comes in.

When does Marcus Edward's contract expire? He doesn't seem to be starting for Excelsior Rotterdam anymore. He was on the bench against Heracles but did come on in the 69th minute and provided the assist for Excelsior's 3rd goal in their 5-4 away win.

Interestingly, Excelsior replaced their manager in April with Ricardo Moniz, our former skills coach.
