DN: #Hulk: FC Porto received THREE offers from THREE diferent clubs. Two of them were already rejected. The last one will be analyzed today.

João Ruela@joao_ruela
DN: Acáz Felleger confirmed that 2 of the clubs were Zenit and Chelsea. The third one was not confirmed (It´s from England, that's for sure)

João Ruela@joao_ruela
DN: #Hulk The offer which will be analyzed today, is the last 1 (club not revealed). FC Porto SAD will communicate the final decision today.

I'm going to guess we're not the third club. Hopefully they'll agree to part with Moutinho if they reject the Hulk bid.

DN: Most likely scenario by now: #Hulk will sign a new contract, with a higher salary and a lower rescinssion clause. Exit only next year.

I guess if it's not us, Man City make a little bit of sense as they reportedly still wanted to make a 'big splash' signing I believe.

Obviously I hope they tell them to go pound sand as I don't want to see Hulk in the PL unless it's for us.

Hulk rather than moutinho to us would make more sense in football terms. We are desperate for wing and striker cover and Hulk is a goal scorer.

Hulk also, if reports are to be believed, is about double the price.

If we sign Mountinho i can see him sitting next to Sandro or just ahead with either Dembele or Gylfi playing the furthest forward. Mountinho's job will be to keep the ball moving and see that we play a high passing tempo. He will NOT be playing behind a striker. Also I think it could be quite possible to see Dembele play as a right forward cutting in to create chaos in opposition boxes. AVB will be backed!

Dembele on the right in the front 3 is very interesting. He's got the pace/acceleration to make it work, and while he doesn't have elite pace, his dribbling can make up for that. And, like you said, his ability to cut in with ease and most notably without losing pace and keeping control can be deadly.

Which is ironic considering Moutinho is the better player.

Very true. I watched a couple videos on YouTube where they show every single touch a player has in the game for Moutinho. It's so obvious how play just runs through Moutinho. Literally anytime a player would get caught in a hairy situation, their eyes immediately sought Moutinho. I love that aspect of him. It's like the whole squad knows that he is their security blanket and he can slow the game down. And, the fact that just about any type of pass is available to him is a thing to admire. Very valuable asset (Which is why he's such a great fit to replace Modric).

Could we possibly see this against weaker opposition

Lloris
Walker Kaboul Verts BAE
Dembele Mouts
Lennon (Gylfi/VdV) Bale
Adebayor
I feel like Dembele is like a swiss army knife and wouldn't be bad anywhere forward of the Defensive line. you swap in sandro and move dembele up to lennons spot as well.

Interesting but I really would hope that Sandro becomes a fixture in our starting XI. I feel like this year is enormous for his growth and I love what I've seen from him already. He's only 23, so he's got time, but I think he can offer this club so much that I don't want him to be benched unless he's in desperate need of a breather.

I am very curious how Dembele fits into this squad, especially if they plan on fitting Siggy into the starting XI. It's a much easier proposition if Moutinho isn't added, obviously. However, we all hope he is because he's fucking awesome.

Well In assuming VdV is sold and Mountinho bought then I would expect Dembele in VdV's central spot when Lennon is in and then Gylfi coming into that spot and sliding Dembele out wide.

So Dembele starts and Gylfi is cover in the AM role but with Dembele able to shift out to either wing to allow Gylfi to come on or even drop back into Mountinho's or Sandros spot if needed.
