Utd have bid £19m for RVP who was Europe's top striker and has just turned 29 with a year left on his contract. Alonso would be no more than between £10 - 12m.

listen mate; just cos you say it doesn't mean it's so, just as no matter how many times you say it - it's not going make it so.

utd have bid £19m and NOT got their man...

Alonso is looking for a better contract, Real won't entertain bids of £10m. You're underestimating his importance in that team. 104 games since 2009. paid £30m for his services. you're either drunk or on a massive wind-up. (y)

Mate Im not going to argue about this anymore and clog this thread up. I never said we were getting him, he would probably never come. Just adding some logic to Talksport story. Alonso will not be there much longer - particularly if Modric signs.

I don't have any knowledge at stuff at Spurs but I have a close friend who works at Melwood Liverpool. If you think Real paid £30m for Alonso think again. Close to £22m and that was 4 years ago. Also how much did Real Madrid sell a 26 year old VDV with 3 years on his contract? £8m. Just saying.

Ramirez's agent Betancourt:"The only concrete bid from England came from Tottenham:16m €,but they offered too low wages to the player"
The low wages is BS that as been added.I read the quotes this morning.

"We just talked to some officials close to the leadership of the club, but nothing more. The only concrete offer is that of Tottenham who came to offer €16m for the player."
Betancourt said that Spurs even went as far as discussing wages with Gaston Ramirez but haven't been able to offer Bologna what they want yet. However, he thinks that could change as soon as they sell Luka Modric to Real Madrid but the agent insists that if no acceptable transfer fee is put forward then Ramirez is happy to stay with the Italian club for another year.
He hints that Bologna are desperate for the cash and his insistence that Ramirez is calm about the situation could be to pressure them to have a more realistic valuation for the 21 year old. .

No one to blame but ourselves. Never ever EVER should we have allowed them smug goon ***** to overhaul our 13 point advantage and finish above us. For me there is only one self centred man to blame for that..... Thank fuck he's gone!!!!
If I could press the "Agree" button more than once, I would have.

Andy Carrol was sold for 35M, on that benchmark modders is 50M ... remember alonso is 30 yrs old therefore no resale value really, so 30M+alonso may not be there worst deal in the world for RM if u think of it like this ....!

Vdv was how much?

Have any of the ITK'ers ever mentioned, or do they know, if AVB has a specific number of targets he is after?
