We only need a RB and a DM imo.

Aurier is not good enough and Foyth is not a RB imo
Dier is shit and Wanyama is not the player he was after so many injuries

Atal seems the best choice for RB
Lobotka looks a good choice for DM. I personally like Ascacibar from Stuttgart but he may not be as high profile as some want
I agree with the RB and DM being the most pressing needs. We could really do with a left-footed LCB to replace Jan too though, as everyone else performs significantly better in RCB and we look so much more balanced with a left footer there.

Haven’t been back through the thread to see if they’ve been mentioned but apparently Cedric and Holjberg are both out of contract in the summer at Southampton. Both have impressed me at different times in recent seasons.

Yes, good transfer for Championship clubs?

Apparently looking at Dries Mertens on a free in the summer??

World Class player no doubt, but with his age, maybe a little late to adapt to the prem?

That being said, players of his quality don’t come around often for nothing, on a 1-2 year deal could be a phenomenal bit of business!

Dest Vs PSV Debut

Sergino Dest for RB, he is young but is going to be some player if he keeps up his current trajectory.

Added a link to a clip for his debut against psv. It’s just highlights but you can get an idea of the type of qualities he has for a young player.

Intelligent and mature player for his age, however still prone to some silly mistakes that will be ironed out with more experience. First touch, pace and passing are some of his best qualities.

One thing he may need to to do cope with the PL is bulk up a bit but at 19 years of age he still has time to grow and develop a decent frame. He can be muscled off the ball often by bigger players but most young players are. Think TAA, not the biggest player in terms of frame but arguably the best full back in the world at the moment. Dest could be that type of full back for us.

3 years left on his contract, we could always do a loan back for the remainder of this season so he can continue to get minutes, but given our dire need for a decent RB I would throw him straight into the mix and see how he gets on. Can’t be any worse than we have now, and unfortunately it seems like KWP won’t be getting that chance anyway. I do think we could rotate between Dest and KWP for the remainder of this season with Foyth as a emergency back up.

Might be a daft question - but who does he replace/supplement in the squad? Moura strikes me as the primary casualty in this equation but i don't watch DM a lot. My assumptions based on Belgium is that he's a bit more versatile in attack and maybe more of goal threat than all bar Kane and Son?

I'm fully expecting Lucas to be out the door. Poch doesn't trust him.

Yeah he does seem to have fallen way out of favour - despite clearly needing him on the field (to replace a flagging Kane) for 30mins or so at the weekend. I get that Lucas seems to be all or nothing but there's certain games where that's ideal.

We don't need another CM, but if we could get Exequiel Palacios from River, it would be a huge coup. 25m would get him imo (his release clause is 15m euro). He's a potential starter for a top 5 team in europe in the coming years imo.
He was a signature away from signing for Real Madrid and an injury prevented the move.
The next window will be the only chance we have to get him imo

If his release clause is 15m, why on earth would anyone pay 25m?

doesn't he play a similar role as N'dombele and Lo Celso?
