Maddison and rabiot are both twats, lets move on.

With the news around Eriksen potentially going in January, I think Bruno Fernandes is a must. Not just for this season but for next too. He will be fully settled.

I never thought anyone would pay for Eriksen in January, would be fantastic if it eventuated

No problem getting clubs to pay, issue will be to get Eriksen to agree. He can wait half a season pocket the money himself

Our defenders need protection and for me Skipp isn't ready just yet.

In Wanyama and Dier, we once had two of the best DMs in the world but both have lost their way. Would it not be worth Poch picking one and giving them lots more game time - albeit with the inevitable errors - before January in the hope that the old Wanyama who once had all that bustling energy without the mistimed fouls or Dier whose focus and strength once bossed games, might be reborn? I think I'd then rotate Winks and Ndombele with Sissoko losing out as he can occasionally cover elsewhere (plus he still makes me cringe regularly).

It would be great to have a settled defensive core again, especially with the new boys Sessegnon and Lo Celso looking to join the team soonish. Imagine a January in which the only position that needs filling is RB (Ricardo Pereira please).

I don't think Skipp has let us down when he's played. Can't say the same about Wanyama or Dier for a very long time now. Our CBs being so wobbly is the main issue at the moment though but you can't risk an out of form DM right in front of them IMO.

I do think of the DM options, I'd probably rather focus on developing the one we plan on keeping long term, I guess it depends on what is going on with Dier but I think we need to develop Skipp in a manageable way and not throw him to the wolves. I think we're gonna have to go back 3 short term.

I agree but if Dier can't get some form back I think Foyth is ideal for the DM who drops into the back 3 role. Unfortunately it seems like he'll be shoehorned into RB in the short term at least but I think he'd be great in the role Dier used to play for us. He's a good passer with the ability to beat a man if needs be, decent in the air and with bags of composure which is something Dier lacks. In the meantime I think Skipp deserves a go. He was very good in pre season and has a better defensive skill set than Winks.

None of those are good enough for the DM position imo.

The one who would be ideal is Ndidi but im sure they would ask for 80mill. There are no other top DMs out there atm that I can think of.

These lines/statements really gets me.

Our defenders are crap. There said it. Toby and Jan have been getting away with murder whenever they are called upon to defend they're a complete let down face them up one on one very poor, ran at them with pace very poor, interceptions and commanding very poor...their main attributes are long diagonal balls. The drop off is alarming...but still people think there the nuts at Spurs

Wasn't sure where to put this, but this dutch paper is saying we've re-signed Michel Vorm until the end of the season...

Translation:

"Michel Vorm returns to Spurs"
Goalkeeper Michel Vorm has signed a contract with Tottenham Hotspur until the end of the season. The NOS reports that. The 36-year-old goalkeeper left the club in London in the summer after his contract expired, but was recovered due to a serious injury by goalkeeper Hugo Lloris.

Makes perfect sense to be honest.

If we sign Ndidi for 80m, then Leicester go out and replace him with a 20m player that is just as good.
There are good ones out there, it's the Premier League proven tag that cost.

And no chance they sell him to us in Jan if they are still top 5/6. Unless we significantly overpay. And we really need someone in asap to play DM.
