Bring realistic mate. No point getting hopes up only to be let down.

I’m think Grealish type signings only and tbh I wouldn’t be disappointed with those.
Probably a wise approach. One bitten twice shy and all that.

However, if we can't be ambitious and spend big now I don't think we ever will. Poch and the players are begging for it, we're in the bloody CL final (earning about £40 million from the knockout stages alone not including gate receipts), we're guaranteed CL next season, and we haven't signed anyone for 2 windows. Our stock and profile are higher than ever - we're the talk of the entire footballing world and players will be sitting up and taking notice. If there's ever been a time in Levy's tenure for big investment, it's now.

If we aren't brave this summer it's plausible that we have a bad season, lose Poch and a number of our best players, and what could've been the start of another great chapter in our history becomes the epilogue to the fabled "Poch years".

I doubt we'd go back to mid-table mediocrity but it's really bloody difficult to find a manager and a squad like we have now and it's paramount that we don't risk losing them.

Not to mention, things are potentially going to get crazy this summer, even more so than usual. Madrid (Bale, James) United (Sanchez, Lukaku), Barca (Coutinho, Malcolm) and PSG (Draxler, Cavani) are all desperately trying (and largely failing) to offload huge salaries in order to reinvest in younger players with higher potential. Meanwhile, Chelsea are under a transfer ban (at the moment, at least), Goons have a tight budget and an Ozil problem and City and Bayern are so far being linked primarily with huge deals for younger who can sit and learn for a year behind current starters (Bruno Fernandes, Joao Felix, Hudson-Odoi).
I really feel that now is the time to strike for a dynamic and potentially generational player like N'Dombele or Nicolas Pepe who could potentially change the face of the club, while the other big money teams are debt-laden and distracted. (I also feel that chances of that are about 0-10%, but just saying...)

I used to be a huge fan of Pepe but having watched him a fair bit this spring I’m not that fussed anymore. He’s incredibly similar to Zaha who is quite limited as a footballer, would fetch a similar price and would not count as HG. Very pacey, decent finisher and a decent dribbler but also very much a match of the day player and from what I’ve seen doesn’t really bother with tracking back.
LOSC had an important game against Lyon in the run in for CL a couple of days ago and I barely noticed he was on the pitch for example.

If you believe reports, NDombele is desperate to make the French Euro 2020 team.

This, coupled with our rise to prominence on the European scale this season, hands us an advantage, even if a slim one as others have said.

Unfortunately, this is the sort risk Spurs have to take at times... while richer clubs can wait and see if the concerned player is the real deal or a 1-season wonder Spurs have to gamble.
Anyway, I am not saying that you assessment is wrong about Pepe :)

You're not wrong that Zaha is currently a better overall player. I've always been a huge fan of Zaha and have felt that he would be a perfect fit for our team. I have doubts that Palace will sell him for less than an extraordinary fee beyond any reasonable valuation. Parish and Hodgson have said as much. I just have doubts about Levy's ability to get a deal done with Palace, given the history. The Lille president, on the other hand, has already said Pepe is out the door and Lille have to balance their books through that sale.

Comparing the two players, I think Zaha is a player who steps in and can contribute at a high level immediately. Pepe would need seasoning and EPL experience. But I think Pepe projects as a Mane-type player who can blow the top off a defense and score a game-changer in a way that even Zaha can't. I disagree slightly with your characterization of Pepe as a decent finisher. The guy is absolutely deadly in the box. Lille are not a possession team that generate 10-20 good chances a game to inflate goal totals. Pepe's goal tally for that team is extraordinary.

Seeing that this thread is coming to a close I thought I’d take the time to express my Wishlist on players that I’d like to see join Tottenham Hotspur next season.

We’ve had a great run this year – despite many of our players not performing to past standards – and the 2019-2020 season will be a particularly important one in terms of filling the stadium, attracting further investment from outside the Club, and sending a strong message to the coach, players and fans as to what investment ownership is prepared to make in the Club going forward. This especially so in view of the lack of money spent in the last few transfer windows, and the extra money made by reaching the Champions League Final.

Failure to bring in quality individuals will see our top players looking for a move and the same goes for our very capable coach.

Here goes:

Goal
Fine with Lloris and Gazzaniga.

Right back
Move Trippier and/or Aurier.
Bring in Atal (Nice) or Wan-Bissaka (Palace)

Centre back
Alderweireld seems to be on the way out.
De Ligt (Ajax) would be the ideal. But how realistic is that? Signing him would certainly be a strong indication of intent.

Left back
Happy here. But like the idea of Tierney (Celtic) – but how injury-prone is he?

Centre midfield
Our biggest hole in my opinion.
Like Brozovic (Inter Milan) and Grillitch (Hoffenheim).
(Would hate to see Dier leave. He’s a leader and can also play at centre back).

Attacking midfield
Eriksen may be on his way out. But maybe not. Maddison (Leicester) would be an ideal replacement here.

Wide forward
Magical players make all the difference in the forward line. This is where big money should be spent. We need an outstanding player here. One that will make an immediate impact.
Sancho (Dortmund) comes to mind – but my top pick here would be Felix (Benfica). Pie in the sky? Maybe – but the Club really needs to step up now and support the coach and let the players know (Kane in particular) that the Club is prepared put money into funding a team that can win the League and/or Cups.
I’m also a big fan of Barnes (Leicester) if we’re looking for a speedy player with potential.

Centre forward
Kane is the Club’s talisman. Llorente has done well of late – but adding a player of Felix’s versatility, who can play wide and down the middle, may provide what is necessary when and if Kane is injured – or rested.

I like Maddison too. But I'm not sure how realistic it is for us to deal for players in our league. It's such a premium, that only the Man City's or Chelsea's of this world seem capable of ponying up the $$ requested. 'Cos I can't see the Foxes making him available for anything less than $70M. And as good as he may be, he's not worth that amount.

Knowing Spurs, it’s probably Huntelaar.
Uhhh, you laugh but as a word of warning we wanted/almost had KJH back in the day too. I don't know how long you been 'on board' but it was after Llorente I believe. Just putting 2 & 2 together hear but if Nando is leaving this summer perhaps Levy is just going down his list of 'big-name' signings and we can expect KJH and Moutinho this summer.
