If we sell Eriksen we need to spend all or almost all the fee on a world class premier league proven creative midfielder, we can’t try to replace on the cheap by spending his fee on 2 players. Luckily for us there is a candidate that fits the bill who looks like he will be available this summer, Coutinho.

Should we sign him ? Yes

Will we sign him ? No
Coutinho is on 300k a week at Barca. There’s no way we can match that at the moment.

I really hope we go all out for ruben neves from wolves. The central midfielder we crave in my opinion. Portuguese also means he will be able to communicate with Poch easily.

Mendes makes it a non starter.

He might have already turned him down but that doesn’t mean it was a good decision.

Poch’s transfer record really isn’t that great so it doesn’t mean he was right re Tielemans (it’s his player development where he obviously really excels).

Didn’t say it was right or wrong just that it’s unlikely that we will go for him

I know everybody keeps saying it but this summer is huge
keep signing the players we have been ie Lucas aurier ect we will be a 4/5/6th team for the distant future and the gap will just keep getting bigger and bigger to the top

Why not ? What is the max we can pay ?
Smashing our highest wage will have significant consequences for every other contract negotiation we have, not just that one. It is not just one player. It is Kane thinking he should immediately earn the same and Eriksens contract negotiations and player X and Y and Z in perpetuity.

I’m struggling to think of any quality attainable keepers? Any shouts?
I don’t think we would be able to attract a ‘top’ quality keeper atm, I think we will have to get a youngish keeper who has ‘top’ potential, and they don’t come cheap

SC wouldn't know a quality goalkeeper if we came home from work to find one cockslapping the mrs having written 'save this' across her bumcheeks in lipstick whilst wearing a Zorro mask and a bowler hat.
Are you subtly implying we have one now and those calling out Lloris are idiots?

Right now I’d keep Rose, Dele, Son, Kane, Winks and Jan.

That’s based on those clearly off ( we won’t miss the Eriksen of this season one bit by the way ) and those I couldn’t care a toss if they stayed at the club!

I cannot stand Lloris, Trippier and Sanchez. I’m just waiting for one of them three to make a mistake every game, because it’ll happen every time 100%. Often it’s all three

You would hope our Scouts have seen someone decent to replace Lloris. I can’t think of anyone in the Premier League but we desperately need a new keeper.

Also Foyth, I know he’s had some rough patches but he genuinely does look a player

Having been to the new stadium yesterday, it's top class and surely will help us attract talent. It's hard to look past the last few windows of disappointment, but I think we'll sign 3-4 decent players this summer.
My perfect signing would still be Bale. The place would be electric if he returned.
Love your optimism but I can't see how a stadium can make a player choose you over other teams (talking about high level teams). What attracts you is winning things and competing with the bests (and money of course). Not even qualifying to the Champions League. If we continue with this performances we will never get rid of the reputation of small team that we have now and those best best players will never come (MAAAAYYYBE Bale end up playing in Spurs again but that would be an exception because he has played here before, Im talking about players with no conection to us).
