Sander Berge to join the "Michael Carrick, what does he do?" ranks in Spurs supporters eyes.
His sprint test score a couple of years ago was 4.669 seconds over 40 metres,
2.57s. - 20m., 1.45s. - 10 metres. While also leading the agility tests at Genk.

As a comparison:
Thierry Henry held Arsenal's original club sprinting record at 4.82 seconds. In 2009, Theo Walcott broke Thierry Henry's record with his own effort of 4.78 seconds. That record has now been beaten by former Barcelona youngster Hector Bellerin with a 40m sprint time of 4.41 seconds.

Yeah from what I’ve seen, athleticism won’t be the issue. It’s about intensity throughout a game. I’d go for it cause I think he has massive potential.

Then we need to hurry up! Liverpool and Napoli are both interested according to Genk's sporting director. :poop:

I thought we a few pages back deemed him to not to be good enough?

If you can’t see the progress he’s made between a few pages ago and now then you’re either not paying attention or simply not qualified to make these kinds of judgments.

As others have said, we need an experienced CB to replace Jan/Toby, but too go along with that we still need a quality youngster for the future.
Despite only playing less than 20 games in the Championship, that man could be Joe Rodon of Swansea City. He's currently injured but was looking decent before that (and has played a few games for Wales). Very good on the ball and will only get better, I think he'll be in the top flight sooner rather than later.
I work with a few Swans ST's and they rave about him and they reckon that Arsenal have been watching him.
Hopefully we're keeping an eye on him as I think he's going to be quality.

This will seem controversial and I’ll probably get a lot of disagrees but if we need funds and need to sell to raise it, I’d sell Dele. Regardless of form or injuries I just don’t think he fits anywhere in our team especially if we want to play a 4-3-3. We could get a very good fee for him and invest it where we really need it.

How much do you think we'd get for him if we were open to doing so? Personally I think sticking with him to see if he comes good as a potential reward far outweighs the financial gain we'd see from potential suitors at this time.

Interesting post on Reddit in which the poster suggest the signing of Santiago Ascacibar, 22 year old Argentine DM currently playing for Stuttgart in the German second division. I hadn't heard of him before, but he seems like a player who would fit what we need from the No. 6 position and who would be available in January. Thought it was an interesting shout and wanted to pass it along.

Raises the argument how much do you think we could get for Dele if we sold him?

Given his current form, injuries, off field antics we would have to take a hit on his once prime fee... even in today’s market I think we would be lucky to get £60-80m for him. Another way of looking at it and it would be subject to the club’s priorities but the Alli fee would cover the purchase of 2 new full backs. Seriously though, with the players we will be losing for free/knocked down fees we need to recoup the money from somewhere if we’re wanting to rebuild our depleted squad. Based on form/circumstances over the last 18 months the 2 players whom are potentially expendable and would bring in some decent money are Dier and Alli.

Undoubtedly his stock has gone down from a couple of years ago when he was hot property but with him still young and English I think we could still get 50m plus.

I think we'd be absolutely crazy to sell Alli by the way, kid is still only 22 and has a bag of potential so here's a novel idea why don't we just show a bit of patience whilst he plays himself out of this slump, he's still 5 years off his peak.

We’re pushing for a 433 formation = no room for Alli. How else are we planning on rebuilding our squad? There’s no bottomless pit of money.

As mentioned he's 22, he's still developing...how do you know he cannot develop the skills and attributes to play in a 4-3-3?

He was developed as a CM at MK and only moved further forward for us. How do we know he cant play in a 433? Why would we sell him now when he's still well off his peak and is already a quality player?
