Yes our 'French expert' Steve Hitchin..... should have been sacked years ago.

Some notable points here:

- The majority of players listed were signed before Hitchen joined us (Feb 2017)
- He can only report or suggest players; if Poch thinks they aren't worth having then that's that.

I'm basing the second bit on the ITK we've had to suggest as much.

Hitchen still recommended Aurier and that is somewhat unforgivable in my eyes. Awful, awful player.

That's the Marco Rose (and Rene Maric) effect for you. He's an excellent manager who I hope we're keeping our eye on should Poch go

He was linked with the Man Utd job before they gave it to solskjaer. It was the first time I’d heard of him. He must be on big clubs’ radars.

And speaking of Gladbach, I hope we're also taking a look at Marcus Thuram (22) who's a winger/striker. I know it's not the most needed position right now, clearly a RB, CB and DM are in critical need. But he's a very exciting player. Interestingly he's 6'3" tall as well

Last year he was playing in Ligue 1 for a poor Guingamp team who got relegated. Despite that he was still able to produce 9 goals 1 assist in 32 apps (2583 mins). 1.1 key passes per game, not the most amazing but this is in a team that averaged 45% possesion and did get relegated last year. 3.2 dribbles per game last year which was the 5th highest in the league (only outdone by the usual suspects of Ben Arfa, Neymar, Saint-Maximin and Youcef Atal ?

This year in the Bundesliga, he has 5 goals 5 assists in 10 games 1 sub app (814 mins). His key passes has risen to 1.4 per game. He's winning 2.6 aerials duels a game too (54% success) remember he's a 6'3" winger and he's by no means slow either. His dribbles are down to 1.4 per game, but thats most likely an effect of not all the play going through him as he doesn't have to carry the team all by himself.

So to conclude, he's an excellent young, tall, fast, strong, versatile two footed forward, who's an absolute unit at dribbling. He'd offer valuable competition and depth for both Son and Kane. If Steve Hitchen really is a Ligue 1 specialist then there's not way he's not on our radar. We obviously wouldn't be able to get him in January, but should look to pounce early in the summer before he comes more coveted

This video by the always excellent Tifo Football is worth a watch. The red bull group have a knack for identifying and developing young exciting managers; which is another reason i'd be delighted with Julian Nagelsmann

I'm not sure where our new players are going to come from. We need 1/2 RB's, 1/2 CD's, 1 LB, 1 DM, and player sales are not going to assist us at all. Every penny is going to have to come from profits. That is 5 players - at 30m a time that would be 150m. I just can't see us spending this volume of money without making a large sale to balance the books.

Moreover, soon we will be needing to buy one RW or LW, one GK, at least 1 striker.

I thought about him the other day but he doesn’t like the lack of game time at Chelsea so isn’t going to want to come to us to be back up to Kane I wouldn’t of thought.

True but he's more likely to get minutes as the only backup to Kane, like Llorente was, than playing behind Abraham AND Batshuayi at Chelsea.

He would be a smart signing in that Llorente mould. I'm still annoyed we didn't bring Nando back. He gave us a plan B that we simply don't have this season. Stupid of us to offer him reduced terms. Insulting even, considering his vital contribution last season.

I am exaggerating, but based on the most recent 2 TW, Poch does not rate the players with the value below $50 millions. That is why we need around $250 mil.

In reality it would be possible to give quite a lot of game time. But Kane is apparently undroppable so that won't happen anyway.

If we’re going for a seasoned older player to settle the team and save money, I’d rather we went balls deep for Ibrahimovic.

I wouldn't. What I want most is the intensity in our game back. Energy in our play & pressing from the front... Entertaining to watch again.

Great player but Ibrahimovic strolls around possibly more than anyone I've ever seen & with his ego he'll want to be playing all the time.

You're not worried that digging deep for a 38 yrs old player is gonna unsettle the rest of the stars in our team that wanted more money?

I don't blame the club for offering Nando less. He was on very good money (probably where you expect around 10 PL goals). As useful as he was in the latter stages of the Champions League I think his time is now gone (for that kind of money).
I just want Poch to use Parrot if we want to mix it up upfront.
