With Genk’s hit rate for sending top talent into the top leagues, we should absolutely sign from them and Berge looks to be everything we need. Added bonus is he could play with any of our current midfielders quite comfortably as he’s so well rounded.

I'd be more than happy with Berge or Diarawa. That would conserve some funds for other areas. I'd like us to improve our FB options since they are such an important area for the way we play. Grimaldo and Meunier would tick my boxes. Anything else really depends on who we might lose.

Any team that doesn't include Winks starting is wrong IMO. Absolutely no one to dictate play in that team.

I tend to agree but he did clearly reference the Wanyama/Dembele axis which was hardly creative, and probably our peak under Poch.

Brandt would be the cheaper option IMO, but I really really really want Brooks in our squad.

Brooks did just sign a new deal though, running until 2022. Deal was signed in March, so either he is staying for at least another season or it was a contingency by Bournemouth to ensure they get fair value for him if he does move this summer.

Current Transfermarkt value is at £18 Million, but he will probably move for closer to £40 Million including add ons and bonuses.

The kid could become a world class player under Poch. If there's any luxury signing I really want us to make, its Brooks.

I’d love to have Brooks and Grealish but if there was only one to choose...question who would you pick?

Grealish would be my choice .

Kovacic for me, but it would have to be a financial no brainer for me to prefer him over Berge/Diarawa.

Kovacic is so overrated it’s criminal, his also so very one footed ... if you think Lamela bad - I’d rather we promote within our development squad.

Could probably still be after Hazard, but if they are signing:

Pogba
Hazard
Mbappe/Neymar (Unlikely to be Neymar, his dad squashed these rumors yesterday but you never know.)
Felix

That's over £300 million in fees, I highly doubt they would pay the going rate for Eriksen if they do manage to sign their preferred options. They will probably sign other players for certain positions too, so it's looking increasingly unlikely that they will pursue Eriksen unless they use a makeweight or don't get their preferred targets.

Rumour is that they have a £300m budget actually. I think Mbappe/Neymar is probably a bridge too far for them this summer so I think it'll just be Hazard and Eriksen/Pogba. Felix wouldn't surprise me either.

They can't part/ex with Chelsea on Hazard at least. Utd might end up with Bale or Isco in return for Pogba though which would suck.

The Pogba news is very interesting IMO. Seems to have really ramped up in the last couple of weeks. Raiola clearly working hard on it and there's been reports Pogba has started to fall out with OGS (who has basically just bent over backwards for him anyway). If Raiola pushes that move through they may have to think twice on Eriksen, which would be a right result.

Tough one. Don't think there's a wrong answer. Brooks has so much potential but Grealish really has something about him now. I think I'd prefer either over Maddison.

Grealish appears to have genuine flair, that special something which gets fans off seats. Turning 24 this September, just the right time for Pochettino to get his claws into him.

Love his mentality too. Seemed a bit of a wayward youth, completely turned it around to become what seems to be an excellent pro. Recovered from the setback of missing out on a huge transfer by putting this Villa team on his back. Took a punch from a fan in the derby and popped up with the winner. Scored some excellent goals too. Think he's absolutely made for us and Poch to be honest. Great point on the flair, he's always had that.

The big concern is that Villa have so much momentum they are probably favourites for the playoffs!

Grimaldo

Grealish or Brooks

That's a decent looking window if you ask me. Just need to add in a potential WF if we have the luxury of signing one and we will be good to go for the new season.

To be fair I think Dele is starting to try and add playmaking to his game. He has spoken about it recently.
He's definitely improved in that aspect but I don't think him being our main source of creativity will get the most out of him. I think we need a DM who is also very comfortable on the ball, and another creative CM. If we do this, we could potentially replace Eriksen with a more attack-minded player to make our front 4 even better.

People will undoubtedly point out that he's playing in the Championship as if it's some sort of reflection on his ability. The fact is that every team that play Villa have targeted Grealish to some extent, quite often hacking him to bits, and he's still managed to deliver consistently. With a bit more freedom at Spurs I think he'd be a fantastic signing, and thought so when we were linked before.

Oh I certainly agree with this. I personally think Winks is that creative CM anyway.
