Not long til the Wales game now. I don’t get the thinking behind James Davies playing. If you want to rest Tipuric (which I wouldn’t personally) then play Shingler as that way you don’t lose your line out option. I want to see us keeping it tight today with a lot of kicks in the box. James Davies is a 7 you play when you want to throw it about a bit as he’s a small open side who’s pretty quick, mobile and with good hands. I don’t want to see us throw it about today. If we do we could be in big trouble.

No way. Mind you I didn’t even think we’d be out of sight at HT against Georgia and we were. Can’t see that happening today. Ideally that’s what we need to do. Start well and do t let them think they’re in the game.

I think it won’t be to dissimilar to the Fiji Australia game. Score will be pretty close at HT (maybe even Fiji in the lead) then hopefully, as they tire, we open them up a bit. We’ll see.

To be fair I reckon the majority of the red cards would've probably been red cards for years so it's not necessarily the rule change that's to blame. There've been some absolutely inexcusable moments of madness in several of the games that are red cards all day long and there can be no argument about it.

As an Englishman I would rather be beaten by Scotland, Ireland, France and even Australia rather than Wales.

Not sure why, really. I think it's because they act like rugby means more to them than anyone else and I see a sense of entitlement about them which fucks me off.

I think it was the correct decision. I have seen it - several times as well.
However that french/irish ref would have sent him off.

From reading the BBC report it sounds like Wales will be happy to go in ahead, and should now pull away, particularly once they empty the bench.

Would love the Fijians to get the next try though, just to make it interesting.

Owens should have been a red. Clear red. Honestly, given some of the yellow cards dished out in this comp, it's mindboggling that was only deemed a yellow.
