Yeah that’s a fair point. I think that’s why he’ll still get some shit for it but I’m sure it’ll be forgotten about soon enough assuming he doesn’t make any other comments.

I don't think he'll ever be forgiven by your passionate LGBT activists etc. but given that they probably only make up less than 1% of the fans I imagine by next season most fans will have forgotten about it. Worst case scenario he'll probably have a few people boo him every now and again but it'll mostly blow over like all these things, rightly or wrongly.

Yeah, the problem with Folau was that he made these comments every year, got warned, ignored them and made similar type of comment again the following year. As long as Billy doesn’t do that he’ll be fine.

Folau is having a hearing in a week or 2. Will be interesting to see what is said there. I can’t see it being overturned, though.

Paddy jackson signs for london irish. Interesting to see what sort of reception they get.

Also, great player when in his prime.

I have no idea how Will Skelton didn't get a red card for his 'in the air' tackle on Phil Dolman v Exeter. Maybe it's a 'Saracens thing' but that was about as nailed on as you could get.

Danny Cipriani voted Player of the Year by fellow professionals. Are you listening, Eddie?

Garland is the right call but it's a sad indictment of coaching over here that we haven't developed any alternative options in the 8 years previous.

Is it just me or does Owen Farrell look like he couldn't maintain a conversation for more than 20 seconds?

Brutal game but sarries deserved it in the end. I think spencer could be starting for england in the wc.

Lozowski always impresses me. I think he'd be at 10 if Sarries didn't have Farrell.

Even with mako fit I reckon we need to persuade marler to come back for one last job this world cup then let him ride into the sunset. LH used to be a real strength for england but we looked weak after mako got injured in the 6N.

Ollie Thorley got try of the season (e17 already wrote this off as terrible apparently after I posted it previously :p )

OT is an amazing prospect deceptively strong and incredibly quick.
