Sarries won quite comfortably today and some munster fan decided to try and confront billy on the pitch.

If NZ dont appoint him as head coach after the WC I’ll be surprised. Schmidt is still in with a good shout but you’d have thought Gatland will be number one choice. Mind you it wouldn’t surprise me if they make an internal appointment in Ian Foster.
Going to be Scott Robertson. I dont think Gatland will ever coach AB's. He might want to but wont get appointed.
I hope they pick Foster though.

He’s been very successful with the Crusaders the last couple of years though they don’t seem their usual selves this season. Bit of a funny super rugby season in general , though, the Lions look a bit shit too.

I think he's the best coach available by a mile. He is exactly what we need and knows our players inside out. We could possibly tempt some one like vern cotter from montpelier. Who else would you suggest though?

If I wasn't a Northampton fan I'd say Chris Boyd.

I’d be surprised if he went to you tbh. Still, you never know.

Would be gutting if he did. He’s one of the most experienced, consistent coaches in the world but I can’t see it.

Looks like he’s nailed on to coach the lions in SA in a couple of years.

Yeah I think it's very debateable if you can count Gatland as available, well in regards to the England job at least. Cant see him just hopping across the bridge and up the M4, it would tarnish his Wales legacy and currently he basically has free rein to do what he wants - take sabbaticals, go off to do Lions tours, he effectively decides selection policies - which he wouldn't get at the RFU.

George Graham?

I suppose I don't really look at it like that. Edwards worked with wales, faz senior with ireland. Eddie Jones used to talk all sorts of shit about england. I think in rugby there are so few opportunities you have to just take what is on offer.

Obviously I have no idea if he even wants the job or other offers he has.

It’s hard to say. I wouldn’t rule it out but it would surprise me.

The only comment Gatland has made on the subject is “they wouldn’t allow me back over the bridge if I took the England job” so not committing either way but acknowledging that the decision wouldn’t exactly be welcomed in Wales.

I saw this. What a plonker. Still, Billy V was kinda unapologetic in his interview. Something along the lines of “I believe what I believe in”

I know Gareth Thomas had a few things to say about it and says he expects the booing to continue until he makes a genuine heart felt apology but I doubt he’ll make one.

Otherwise known as a lie, and I really don't see the point in that.

Yeah that’s a fair point. I think that’s why he’ll still get some shit for it but I’m sure it’ll be forgotten about soon enough assuming he doesn’t make any other comments.
