Consistency and decision making falling apart in the last 20 mins of games is related to fitness though.

Disagree. Sometimes it can play a part perhaps. Look at that Wales game for example. Those brain dead decisions weren’t really down to fitness they were just typically French, trying some BS long miss pass when you approaching an opponents 22 with 5 mins to go.

Not saying you don’t have a point but during the WC the French will be as fit as most.

My original point was that the french have actually got fit as opposed what they are normally like which makes them dangerous. Their "consistency and decision making" is fine in the first half of games. They always lose it at the end.

I think who you are describing is england who throw away leads with stupid in game management/ not being able to adapt to tactical changes from the opposition.

Whatever happens in this game, if England have any pretence of winning the tournament they need to be aiming to beat both of these teams handily.

Both teams have lots of talent but the number of mistakes and general chaos has been poor.

Don't hold your breath mate.

I'm really not believe me.

Just saying that neither of these teams will be in the shake up for winning IMO. If England can't beat them well then they probably won't be in their either.

Congrats to France. Got away with it a bit but ultimately that first half performance was just enough.

Love this punditry on ITV.

As a casual rugby watcher (only watch World Cups and the odd Six Nations game) it bemuses me that the starting XVs are declared a full day before kick off. I thought England were playing yesterday after I saw the team sheet.

Is there a particular reason for it, or is it just tradition?
I guess no one knows :D

My opinion is it is tradition, out of respect so there are no late tricks. But I don't actually know. It is part of the regulations though. One report says if both teams agree it can be up to 12hrs before kick off.
