Still testing combinations. As last weekend, I make that just three starters from Eddie's likely first XV (although a lot of class operators still selected).

Also two hookers on the bench, so we'll see something random like Singleton or LCD in the backrow at some point.

I think they should have played these games behind closed doors and just had them as properly reffed training games.

Nah, the money is important and it’s nice to give the fans a day out. It’s also good to replicate test match environments in terms of crowd and such.

I think 4 is to much, though. 3, at most, is fine, imo.

Anyone hear Eddies Jones’ thoughts on Scott Barrets red card? He said it was ridiculous then went on to say Wales should’ve had 2 players red carded last weekend. Typical Eddie.

He was saying if the eng vs wal game was judged by the same standard (which he doesn't think it should).

He never said what incidents/players he was referring to, though. There is inconsistency though, tbf.

Terrible conditions in NZ but I’m going for a 15 point plus win for them today.

Just hoping for no injuries today. So dangerous making billy play another meaningless 80.

Yep. I’ll be happy with a loss (as long as the performance is better than last week) and no injuries (especially to AWJ, Biggar, J Davies, Liam Williams, Moriarty, Owens and Naividi when he comes on)

On the other hand if Gareth Davies and Aled Davies want to get injured I’d have no problem with that.

To be fair if Billy can't get through a friendly game then maybe that's part of the problem.

We need to be confident if his fitness as we built a lot of our game around him.

Either way he probably won't go the 80.

I'm obviously hoping for no injuries, but that's never a realistic expectation in top level rugby. These 'friendlies' are the opportunity not only for the prospects to put their hands up, but also for the senior players to prove they can be relied on. Billy's had a bad run but hopefully it's all behind him now.

Wales with the greater intensity this week. They deserve to be ahead but I think the ref is riding England quite hard so far. The yellow card was the correct call, but they took a quick one when Watson was still in the middle of the pitch and the physio's were on. Fair play for trying it and not getting pulled back, but that's surely a stoppage in play. Also letting a lot of hands in the ruck and lying all over the ball to kill it, also missed what looked like a very dodgy clear out on Heinz which led to him being subbed.

Still, England have got to get on with it and keep going. Needs a little more from the pack in particular and for us to tighten up with stuff like the high ball - which for once a team is having a go at us in this aspect.
