Well listening on Sunday Souness was saying we have the easier run in due to our opponents having less to play for. maybe he has a point?

We have Stoke, WBA, Chelsea and arguably Southampton with little to play for and Newcastle could be relegated by time we play them.

Leicester have Swansea, Everton, Chelsea without too much to play for.

5-3 in our favour.

But then I checked our recent record at home v WBA which is poor as it is against United and away to Chelsea so any hope was soon tempered.

Suppose the lesson is to take it week by week. Hope Sunderland do us a favour on Saturday and we do our job on Sunday. Then at least we'll be a little bit closer.

It is being said that apart from Spurs and scum fans everyone wants Leicester to win it.

I can report from the East Midlands that this isn't true. Forest fans are mostly hating Leicester's success and would rather we won it. However, who cares about the views of Forest fans these days!

I'd argue that both Southampton and Stoke do have a lot to play for still as mathematically they are both in the running for the top 6 and EL qualification. Chelsea could also be going for this. WBA though...

You got some statistical evidence to back that up?

Its done, congratulations Leicester but we didn't have the final push. Still been a great season, we have an identity again which is something we did not for a while. Not sure we will get another chance like this again which is disappointing.

the thing is with the games in hand for teams above and below them, they will know they need wins this weekend or it will become tougher

I think we pretty much play every game after Leicester now. Not sure if that really helps but hoping it gives us a bit more incentive if they drop points.

I think it's probably fair to say most fans with no rivalries involved are supporting Leicester for the title.

Bit like when many neutrals were supporting us in the CL but that naturally didn't extend to Arsenal fans.

Yeah but hand on heart can you honestly say you'd rather us losing pretty rather than winning ugly?

And to be fair to Leicester, although they are now the 1-0 kings for the majority of the season they've been entertaining to watch. Certainly nowhere near as bad as some of the teams Mourinho put together to win titles for example.

Fair shout about Maureens awful teams, but yes, hand on heart, I would rather we played fantastic football and entertained the crowds (Spurs fans and others...) than win with a terrible brand of cowardly football, even if our brand didn't win every week..

I appreciate that this may not be the most popular view, but I can't speak for anyone else.

Absolutely fair enough if that's how you feel, although I still suspect that if it came down to it you'd take us scraping a few 1-0 wins at the end of the season to see us over the line.

I also don't think that Leicester's football can be said to be terrible or cowardly. Old fashioned maybe but a lot of their games (until the recent 1-0 run) have been entertaining to watch.

Entertaining is depending on how one sees it.. No doubt they are always breaking with speed after various interceptions and closing down on high energy intensity.. And more often than not balls are fed over the top to be chased by a very fit 29-year-old.. But still, stats don't lie.. They do have a very low possession and passing rate that is almost not seen for a champion-to-be.. Really abit like Greece winning the Euro.. And that to me is really a flat brand of football one probably wouldn't see in other leading clubs in their respective leagues in Europe.. Even Dynamo Kiev, Zenit, Fenerbache play so much better..
