You say that, but Toby and Jan will probably both go end of season. Rose, Vic look done. Eriksen obv off. So we will need a new RB, at least 1 if not 2 CBs, a DM, an AM and thats assuming we are happy to have Sess as starting LB. I would say that counts as serious work.

Well the 2-7 loss was nothing to do with the Premier League race and City just lost 2-0 to Wolves. Reckon they've given up on the title?

Is it likely to happen? Of course not, we're playing shite, have serious problems that need to be sorted, but fucking hell the way people just want to settle for mediocrity is bizarre. We used to laugh at Arsenal for just aiming to finish in the top 4, yet here we are doing exactly the same.

There are still 90 points to play for. Technically we "could" win every single game and end up on 101 points. You don't just give up on something because it's hard.

I get it though. If we give up believing something is possible it means the disappointment is lessened. It's a defence mechanism.

All that being said, I am not sure what changing the title of a thread is actually supposed to do. The chances of us winning the league are not increased or diminished based on it.

You're almost certainly correct, but Newcastle were 12 points ahead at one point in the 94/95 season around xmas before losing to Utd by 4 points. It ain't over until it's over.

I still stand by the statement that changing the thread title isn't going to make any difference though

Think United getting points off Leicester, Chelsea and Arsenal is huge for us.

If we lose out on top four to West ham that his new depths of lowness I didn't think we would see.

Will stick with my original prediction that if we don't get top 4 it won't be at the expense of West Ham.
