Couldn't see this anywhere and felt it deserved a wider audience. I don't always agree with this chap when he tweets but it doesn't take away from this very detailed and informative article, particulalry some nuggets of info around Henry Winter speaking to our players about how they deal with the media etc.

I also absolutely LOVE his take on the Battle of the Bridge last season and believe it should be viewed this way by all Spurs fans.

Looking back at the story so far for Poch makes me feel proud and grateful that we have him as our manager.

Great article, well written but I disagree that the Chelsea game was the turning point. For me it was the Everton game in November, it was the first time Pochettino's press, superior fitness and tactics actually came together. That was when I knew we'd found our diamond, although there were poor performances after and the Chelsea game was fantastic and against the presumptive champions, the change was noticeable 2 months earlier imho

Excellent read . One very interesting quote from Toby . 'If we don't put the effort in , we're just a normal team' .

For me it highlights a key element of the Poch way . We don't go out and buy the finest players (even if we could) . We are now
part of a new development in the Prem which has seen smaller or unfashionable teams upset the usual big guns (which will continue to happen imo) . ie we are part of the extreme effort movement .And it feels like we are a bit ahead of the curve Premwise .

Its not the traditional Spurs way. It has more Roundhead elements rather than Cavalier ones , but is obviously effective and , as the article suggests , Poch is central to making it work... It didn't surprise me that away from Poch our England/Belgian guys seemed less effective .

Great post. There is so much in that article to like.

It is beyond me how people are still circumspect about Poch's impact and methods. We really ought to be taking the best of Poch's methods and embedding into our DNA.

Many thanks for posting, really enjoyed reading that. I've been a fan for almost 35 years now and this is by far the most positive I have ever felt about my Spurs.

Poch has created a squad that is better than the sum of its parts, and some of those parts are pretty damn good.

Can't wait for the start of next season COYS

Great article and expresses so clearly what most of us have tried saying in different blogs. At long last we can look forward to the new season starting knowing that we're a match for anyone, home or away, and although manure and others are throwing wicked amounts of money around in the hope of once again buying the holy grail I feel heartened and motivated how Mauricio and his merry men have gone about their "Gaucho" revolution.

Excellent article. Found it particularly interesting how Mason and Kane had a go at Adebayor after the Stoke home defeat. Exactly the right type of attitude and impressive considering how junior they were at the time.

I genuinely think the Poch will become one of the top managers in world football - with us hopefully!
