He didn't sound like how I imagined. I thought he'd be much snappier, like he on the pitch.
On us, he acknowledges how supportive the fans have been and wants just one more game to say goodbye.

Is this the first time you've heard him speak, he has always sounded like that. :D

While I’m probably one of the more vocal Danny Rose detractors, I’m not convinced that selling him for what would be a small fee is preferable to reintegrating him and getting one more year out of him competing with Davies, while loaning Sessegnon to hopefully a lower premier league club that will give him a first choice slot at left back.

I guess much depends on how many bridges Rose has burned and how ready either Sessegnon or Cirkin are viewed as being, but if both are still a year away then I’m not sure that we’re attracting a better left back option than Rose any time soon, whereas in a year there’ll hopefully a more conducive climate to sign top players, the £8m or so we’ve foregone on Rose and £3m salary he’s been paid shouldn’t really be relevant if we’ve had a good season.

Nah his legs have gone or at least he isn't the same level as he was 3 years ago. This is the thing we seem to forget how bad players were before we let them go but Danny was pretty bad, he lacked focus and would often lose concentration, we just need t move on now and try and get some money for him.

I've always been a fan of Rose but he was awful last season. The Liverpool game, which I think may have been his last, was one of the worst performances I've seen from a full-back in a Spurs jersey. And I've been supporting the club for 35 years when we've had a lot of shit in those positions. And it wasn't a case of no effort - he was trying but was absolutely embarrassing.

It's time to go. I'd rather Davies every time.

you’d also have to question how much effort and focus Danny would put in to the final year of his contract were he to stay. My money would be on “not very much”.

All gone quiet on Rose recently, presumably we are still looking to sell?

You'd think we must be, with BD, Cirkin and Sess able to play LB... Reckon he could go back to Leeds.

For someone who was considered an attacking FB he was actually pretty poor on the final third. 8 goals in 13 years underlines that (note the Doherty scored 8 in Wolves first season back in the PL and scored 15 in the last 2 years).

Rose was a very decent and aggressive LB and he did dominate his flank through sheer will, but his best years are definitely behind him and it’s time for us to move him on.

Bit of a shame that Danny lost his head a bit the last few seasons, I loved the way he played when we had him and walker both in their peak bombing up and down. I loved his passion and physicality and shithousing and at that point I wouldn’t have swapped him for another LB in the league but it’s very much gone downhill on and off the pitch for him since then to the point that many of our fans and Jose can’t wait to get rid of the toerag lol.

Real shame tbh but that’s the way it goes in football sometimes and him running to the papers every 2 mins is either him being an idiot / too easily persuaded to doing interviews or trying to earn a quick buck or not thinking about the impact of his words or being badly advised or all of those but anyway I hope we sell him to somewhere up north so he’s happy again and wish him all the best and thanks for the good times.

At his peak he was the best left back I can remember playing for us in the last 20 years- possibly more. True we have hardly been blessed with great success over the past couple of decades but he was one of the stand out players in a stand out group of players who for a time looked on the brink of achieving something huge.

His form (as with a number of players) seemed to drop off when we made the move from WHL to Wembley. From a purely footballing perspective, I think Rose benefited from the high pressing game we deployed in our final seasons at WHL and suffered when Pochettino altered our style of play in the years after.

He was very good for two seasons . Has declined ever since I do not think he is well mentally which is sad .

he cant cross he cant dribble , his short throws always goes to the opposition,
how good was he? only as good aa Poch made him believed.
He was shit the moment he stopped listening to Poch and starts believing the hype asking for big money.

Overall he has been a mediocre player...athlethic but lack footballing nous and ability.
