Yeah Vikings are the surprise package for me this season. No chance I saw them going 4-0 and looking at the next 6 before we play you, I can see you being 9-1…..quite a good run of fixtures ahead of you if everyone stays fit.

Happy with another win, wasn’t convincing but DJ Moore finally off the mark for the season, Swift finally put in a performance and Williams had a solid game. Just got to keep building on this.

As an Odunze owner though I was hoping for more production/chemistry

It will take time, last weekend they had some good chemistry but both are learning each week and it might take a while for both to be performing at the highest level.

Thing is we actually have some really good offensive weapons when they all click, Williams, Swift, Johnson, Herbet, Kmet, Allen, Moore, Odunze. We should really be putting up more points than we are.

Devante Adams then, wonder who will make the trade? Steelers? Jets? Chiefs?
The talk was Jets in the summer linking up with Rodgers again but could see the Bills & Steelers stepping up needing a top WR.

It'll be interesting to see what value we'd get for what is an upper echelon WR but an ageing one.

If we could get a 2nd and 3rd pick for him then we deal.

Add in speculation around Tyreek Hill looking for a trade. Problem is not so much the compensation but who will pick up the contracts. Cap hit for both around $36m.

“He’s 31 until he’s 32” :playful: but Adams is about to be 32. Nobody is paying him 72m the following two seasons. So you’re giving up a lot of draft capital for essentially the rest of this season as it stands. The smart thing for everyone involved is he renegotiates his contract with the new team and gets less but guaranteed money in return over the next few years.

Shefter is reporting that Adams wants Jets or Saints. Also reporting that Jets and Cowboys have both touched base with Raiders.

He went on to say that KC likes Adams but aren't expected to make a move.

Think Cowboys have ruled themselves out and that the feeling is the Jets will get this done which would give Rodgers a helluva lot of options supported by a super strong backfield of Hall and Allen.

Just have to hope they want Adams enough for us to fleece them for a 1st but more likely and 2nd and 3rd.

No way they (or anyone else) give up a 1st. If the Jets don’t make the playoffs this year Saleh is getting fired and they’ll need to give the new Head Coach (and maybe new GM) a 1st round pick in the draft to help them move things forward.

Apparently their contracts are structured to where it would be a minimal cap hit for the team that gets him

It's fanciful granted but not outside the realms of possibility.

Jets are absolutely in 'Win Now' mode with Rodgers without too many holes on their team so pairing Adams with Wilson might push them into major contender again in the AFC - especially as the Chiefs are beset with injuries so other contenders might feel this is the chance.

Jets are basically betting it all on this season (MAYBE next season), they know that Aaron Rodgers has a very small window to be productive. That small window matches up with several players (including Wilson and Sauce Gardner) being on fairly manageable contracts and with players who have less manageable contracts coming up for renewal.

Joe Douglas seems a pretty solid GM, if the team shits the bed this year it's not just Saleh who gets fired it's very likely it's Douglas as well (at least partially because he didn't fire Saleh earlier), so Douglas and Saleh will be willing to roll the dice in the hope of saving their jobs in the here and now.

Never thought that I'd be dropping Mahomes for Baker Mayfield in my fantasy team and not regretting it...
