Even without naming rights Spurs are outstripping our local rivals on the commercial revenue side of the club , following figures are all from Deloitte money league in euros from 2005 & 2023 for comparison.

2005 2023
Spurs 34 mil 215 mil
Arsenal 32 mil 167 mil
Chelsea 50 mil 209 mil.
Arse have CL and came second they’re building a football team not an anchor tenant. Their revenues will build on football success not Beyoncé

This is about naming rights, using CL as an example is not relevant , teams playing in any UEFA competition cannot use any sponsors name i.e it will be the Arsenal stadium or City of Manchester Stadium , what has CL got to do with naming rights ?

Sorry someone was comparing revenue I thought they’d shown total revenues not just naming rights. My point was they’ll make up the revenue especially with us not in Europe was the point. Also whatever you may think being in CL means you are more attractive to sponsors for naming rights

Probably putting 2 and 2 together and getting 5 - It’s crossed my mind that it’s intentional because it makes the club more attractive to new owners.

I do find it strange they’ve never been sold, when the original idea was announced nearly 20 years ago, it’s the first thing you notice ‘naming rights’ written on the roof.

whilst there’s an element of not selling yourself cheaply there’s been many years we’ve missed out on extra revenue from a training ground sponsor too. Also many years of missed revenue from having no sleeve and training ground kit sponsor. It’s not a coincidence

A club takeover / buyout with naming rights attached is more desirable, than having another company logo all over the ground.

The first name any stadium takes when new, or for sponsorship will stick, The Reebok, The Emirates, The Etihad, etc etc. It'll be hard to shake that name for anyone wanting to come in after that and rename it.

Might have some news here coming soon, and nothing dodgy with Saudi/Qatar/etc

There's a CAA connection as well.

CAA have now been taken under majority holding by Francois-Henri Pinault so are we potentially looking (in the bigger picture) of potential new owners further down the line?

Or are we merely looking at CAA brokering the commercial deal alone?

Either way, hopefully some interesting news in this regard shortly.
