I think we look good when things are going well, when we struggle we give up. There's no fight and we can easily be beaten.

Nothings changed..... yet.

Doesn’t sound like lo celso will start. I’d give him an hour and then see how he is. Or 62 minutes or whatever the magic Poch 60 minute sub time is this week.

Lo Celso won't start. Whether you agree with it or not it's now clear that Pochettino is opting for a rotation strategy until he can get the ins and outs that he wants.

i read an interesting article that suggested that Poch was usually moody for European press conferences and jovial for the Premier League ones.
Seems to be holding water from what i've seen

Even if Poch doesn't think our new guys are fit enough to play 90 mins he should start them then sub, rather than throw them on in the last twenty minutes.

Lo Celso and Ndombele were the two best players mid week. They have to start. If Eriksen gets in the side then I really despair.

This is where I am intrigued. I want to see Poch Josh both GLC & TN. I don’t want to hear this crap that slight nighles etc. Do you think the Argentinian manager gives a toss? He will still squeeze every last bit of blood out of GLC. So I want to see him start along with TN. Not the right thread-Oops

Are you drunk?

see that's the biggest error any manager can make. why play 2-3 players that might struggle, when you don't know if someone else will get injured. Play Lo Celso and Ndombele from the start knowing they might only have 60 minutes in them, what do you do if another player gets injured with a hamstring in the 1st half, and another just after halftime

Losing two players to injury in one match is highly unlikely.

If it happens, you take off whoever is the most tired with the remaining substitution.

I’d rather we do that every game, get their fitness up quicker with more game time, and see it backfire perhaps 5% of the time, than doing what we’re doing currently - barely putting our new signings on the pitch for weeks at a time, taking an age to get their match fitness up, and seeing it backfire perhaps 70% of the time.

it has happened there is no time limit on an injury happening

so you would keep on a player that physically better than the other, but could possibly be another injury because the 1 you leave on isn't fit enough to compete.

there is no guarantee because that team played well on Wednesday will sweep Sheff Utd aside, especially as 1, they have had a whole week to prepare, and 2, will only be tired from training, not traveling, not play 2 games in 1 week.

you want the fittest 11 on the field for the 90+ mins not carry passengers that mean others have to work even harder than necessary

This is where I struggle to accept his excuse here. In 2014 the squad he got wasn’t his fault, he inherited it, but this one is his, he let it (I still think we have perfectly good players) get to this situation he describes.

It obviously started in the summer of 2018 when a mix of him and levy left us without signing any players. I said at the time that equally important was (and it was missed by many in the media) that we didn’t sell any. Even the deadwood.

So I find it hard to accept this excuse when it’s partly his doing.
