Also said yesterday he is pleased with Eriksens performances, the gift that keeps on giving !!!

I think Poch means about the one thing he cares about the most the defensive capabilities of the attacking players. I think he sees anything attacking wise as nothing but a bonus

Whatever the reasons it seems Poch has lost the team. There just doesn’t seem to be any way to recover the situation.

still love him but he’s got to go.

The one thing i worry about is that we have been through one cycle with Poch without winning anything, what will it feel like if we go through two ??

Poch is in no way a great strategist.
He had a plan I'll give him that
Everything else he does is trial and error.
He is good with the players. He can create emotion and get them cooking (at times) He is great at getting them in good condition.
A creative strategist? Never.

ummmm….. ok?

No idea what this has to do with what I've said, or indeed what I replied to, but yeah all power to you.

It shows with our defensive record so far this season... Or in 2019 to be honest.

“I tell you what happens to teams,” Jones said after the final. “They evolve and some guys will lose desire, some guys will lose fitness, some guys will get injuries and there’ll be young guys come through.
“So this team is finished now. There will be a new team made — we’ll make a new team for the Six Nations and that new team for the Six Nations will be the basis of going to the next World Cup.”

Theres a coach with a vision for his team.....feels like a major contrast to our current predicament.

Don’t get me wrong I feel very disillusioned with Poch at the moment but this is a very harsh comparison as they’re totally different situations. Ignoring the fact you’re comparing about an international coach with a club coach Eddie Jones is basically the Pep Guardiola of rugby in the sense that he’s got more money and far more players at his disposal than any other country so it’s a bit harsh to hold this up as an example of a coach who has a clear vision compared to poch who has none.

Plus Jones is only really going to get rid of 1 or 2 players. There’s hardly going to be some massive rebuild in 3 months.

giving the captaincy to Ben Davies shows how much Poch gives a f***

I don’t get this thinking. Davies isn’t the best player in the world but he’s a grafter, he’s committed and by all accounts seems respected by the group. Baring in mind Lloris and Kane were out of that game and Jan, Tobi, Rose etc are not exactly captain material at the moment I don’t get the problem with Davies being captain for that game. I’m sure Kane will wear the armband when he’s back.

Just another stick to beat Poch with, our fans are relentless - nothing like a bit of faux outrage

Come up with an alternative in that game. Out of form Dele? Bound to leave Toby? Madrids Eriksen?

Davies is not a real captain type, but there was no alternative on the pitch and the decision was actually fine.

I liked him giving Davies the captaincy, I also like Davies’ dream team name, Inter MeNan ?

Eh - he has overperformed in the Premier league for 7 years with both Tottenham and Sounthampton and you think he has no strategy. This premier league whilst he has been here has had the best managers in the world in our league, no one can debate that and he has finished above every single one of those managers and you think he had no strategy.

Last year we all moaned that we could not score in the first half and we somehow found a way to score and win right up until January. So who was responsible for the turnaround in the second half of games?

His sequence (5,3,2,3 and 4)is only bettered by Bill Nicholson in the league since the late 50's, lets ask a question. would Bill have been sacked in year 1 if the internet was around and we had 24 hour sports shows (he finished 18th)?

I keep seeing things like he hasn't won away from home since January. Then go in the Var thread and see we were unlucky at leicester, everton and arsenal were Var has savaged us. The only other places we have been were Man City and Liverpool, so we could say Poch has been robbed in 3 matches by Var on his travels and the only shit result we have had was Brighton.

We have a young coach who is still learning his trade, but he has Tottenham above all of these world class coaches at some stage. He is having a tough year, give him a break.

I wish someone would teach Poch a new word, other than "dynamic".

I'm seriously fed up of hearing that now.
Look at the word's meaning and what it means in different situations and you'll see it's just the word to use for Spurs lately, both as diagnosis of what's been lacking and as much of the solution to the problem we've had.
