I'm not sure where this is coming from. Until recently the story was that he didn't want Tielemans because it was a loan with no option to buy, and that Maddison turned us down and went to Leicester because he thought he'd get more playing time there. Do you know where this new info has come from? Just to be clear I'm not suggesting you or anyone else is making it up.

If I remember correctly we wanted both Maddison and Grealish, but failed to convince Maddison of playing time so he went to Leicester.

Mate, I'm seeing my Dad's team S****horpe lanquishing at the trap door of the football league, with one win in 14 matches, and in serious danger of administration if we drop into the National League.

It really ain't that bad.
My local team are actually struggling in the isthmian league, so your dad should be happy because it ain’t that bad

I think Levys's big fear is that he goes to United, gets backed to the hilt, and has United competing with City and Liverpool in no time.

It really is one hell of a mess.

I know we had the crazy 6-2 game agaisnt Everton last December, but the last game in the league I really enjoyed was the 3-1 against Chelsea at the End of last November.

Started fast, Dele scoring a header. Kane working his nuts off, Son's rinsing of Luiz.

That was a performance, a proper one, from start to finish and we should of scored more.

It's nearly a year.

That was my favourite game of the year, partly due to the fact I was there but mainly because we played fantastic from start to finish. Being behind the goal when Son scored was just brilliant, i went ape shit.

It probably is a big worry yes. Although the fact is Levy has to look after Spurs and do the right thing for Spurs. If Poch has lost the dressing room and we are basically in relegation form, Poch needs to be removed. If Poch goes to United and challenges City and Pool, good luck to him, but it shouldn't have any bearing on what Levy needs to do for Spurs.

It's a bit like being with a bird you know it isn't working out, but you don't want to split up as you are scared she will go off with another guy.

Frankly, United still have a weak squad. Make no mistake, Poch took over a really talented Spurs squad. I don't see that same level of talent at United.

I think Poch firmly has his eyes set on Spain - just my opinion on that one. Also think that Allegri now tops the bill for Woodward. He has managed both youth and ego and developed them into a winning side with Juve. Think he is the manager they should have gone for to begin with.

Levy's bigger problem is the cost. It's going to be huge if the man doesn't either get it together (I know peoples views on this) or he walks. Can anyone see Levy paying off a large chunk of his contract and then pay the new guy as well?

As you say, one hell of a mess.

Is it really going to be a huge payout? Would Levy really put himself in such a situation?

In all fairness, what they became wasn’t what they came to Poch with. He definitely brought out many of their peaks. I think he would make someone like Rashford quite good.

Spot on, Levy is the chairman of Tottenham Hotspur not Mauricio Pochettino, he has to do what’s best for the club, however with Poch on a £8.5 million a year contract with 4 years to go I can’t see Levy sacking him, irrespective of our shocking form, for once I can’t actually see Daniel pulling the trigger, think we are going to have to buckle up for the bumpy road ahead !!!

The man will be owed money if he is sacked. Levy has to either weigh up the option of sticking by him and forking out cash for new players or forking out cash and waving him off if he can no longer put up with the product in the pitch while fans (rightly so) get angry with the product on the pitch themselves. He can't have unhappy punters.

It's a proper fucking mess and disheartening to say the least.

Sorry mate but your completely wrong, Poch for me is done & I’ll explain why ......... our form since Feb 2019 has been relegation fodder & a jammy run to the champions league final only papers over the cracks (& we typically never turned up in our clubs biggest game under Poch) our last away win was a lucky 2-1 win against bottom of the table Fulham & they were unlucky not to beat us on the day, since that result we've lost to Burnley away, embarrassed at Chelsea away, lucky to get a point at Wembley against Arsenal, embarrassed away at Southampton, lost away to Liverpool & city (albeit no shame in that) scrapped a last minute winner at home to Brighton, & was beat at home to West Ham & I cant explain the shit show away at Bournemouth, now people will say yeah but we had champions league games in between that, but we somehow fumbled our way to the final & then froze again on the biggest stage, then we go into the season full of optimism & so far we’ve played shit all season, bar the first 40 mins at Arsenal & the first 45 against palace, we’ve lost to the shittiest team in the league in Newcastle at home, lost to league 2 Colchester, been spanked 7 at home, & I don’t care who we played you don’t concede 7, got embarrassed 3-0 away to Brighton & somehow fluked a 1-1 draw at home to bottom of the league Watford, who had no recognised striker on the pitch, all the while Poch continues to give us lip service saying Saturdays draw to be a turning point in our season, are you fucking serious, come on mate please see the wood beneath the trees here, he’s done well under the circumstances but enough is now enough, Sanchez at RB, his diamond formation, 3 at the back on Saturday & then hooking off the one defender who looked ok in the 1st half, it’s over & people will come to the idea, sad but for me its time for a new voice & ideas
Bloody hell, James Joyce would've been proud with that stream of consciousness.

I agree. Levy has to do what's best for us, what Poch does thereafter is beyond our control.

I just think these things are playing on Levy's mind.

Surely he's aware if Poch has lost the dressing room though.

If there's one thing you can say about Levy, he's never afraid to pull the trigger on a manager. It's quite obvious to see the players have stopped playing for Poch, surely Levy can see that and surely he is hearing things from either players directly or their agents. Regardless of how much Poch would be owed if he was sacked, it would be peanuts compared to what it will cost the club if we finish midtable / battle relegation / miss out on top 4.

Levy will be waiting to see if there is a reaction and so far there hasn't been one. I think we will get a mauling up at Anfield on Sunday.

I agree with your post but we would need to still choose well and still Levy has to understand what we need to do too.
Poch has had a system that really changed the face of Tottenham to one of strength in defence and super fitness all around to press and play up and down.
Other teams caught up and we slid with the fitness advantage. What was left was little creativity to push the ball forward. Also Poch seemed like he cannot change this so quick to a more attacking game,he doesnt have the tactical nous of creativity so he implements a trial and error strategy. The focus is gone. The trust has gone. He has tried to cover up his inefficiencies with lame excuses instead of admitting his failing and maybe getting help in the tactical department maybe a couple more assistants who can show the way if he would even listen.
If we carry on it will be more trial and error and probably more disappointments.
Its a question now of when.

A reaction?

like losing 0-3 at Brighton after having lost 2-7 at home!!
It wasn’t as if Brighton were brilliant or we were a bit unlucky. For the most part we were pathetic. Almost as pathetic as Saturday’s draw at home to the bottom club

Unless we agree a compensation package where he can’t take another premier league job in the next 6-18 month.

Which would make Levy look like a right ****.
Poor old Dan’s made his bed but will he continue to lie in it or change all the sheets?
