Perhaps Levy has wanted to give Poch time if Poch wanted it. Poch took the international break to think it through and decided that he doesn't want to proceed any further, Levy sorts out a replacement and Poch walks after Liverpool.

I'm interested to read what Val said and the context of it.

If a flower doesn’t bloom you change the environment in which it grows, not the flower. Just not sure if Poch or the team is the flower anymore?

And who is responsible for that? Manager/Head Coach has all week to work on systems, but clearly that’s not going well.

A bit of topic but this article compares Allegris and Mourinhos approch to 4-2-3-1. Interesting read and an example of different takes on the same formation.

Makes you wonder how detailed Pochs approach is when he switches formations every week and within every game.

But would any new manger we could get do any better straight away? We might even be in for a Sherwood type short term manager till the end of the season ?

I would think so, yes.

You're not telling me that the players are giving their all at the moment? No chance.

A new manager gets motivation up ten fold for a start.

I want to see a bit of tempo and unrgecy about us.

We've been playing slow laboured football for months now, it's actually boring.

After watching Harry Kane yesterday I’m convinced he’s one of the players who is almightedly pissed off with things. I don’t think I’ve ever seen him try as less as he did yesterday. He looked utterly irked.

Sad Times

Its all speculation as to why it's happening but Poch is a damn good coach and the players (despite performances this year) are good enough to get in the top 4.

I'm wondering if the TA situation (him or me from ITK as far back as last summer) has come to a head. Something has damaged the relationship between the senior players and the coaching staff, thats obvious from the games we've all seen recently.

Sadly I can't see it going any other way than Poch and the staff going - Although some posters on here believe he's damaged goods he won't have to wait long for a good job to come up. It's just sad to think back to this time last year when I truly thought he could lead us to something special.

guess thats just football innit.. funny old game

That's so sad. Players don't appear to give a crap about the manager. Manager backs all players to a fault. Manager one of the top managers in the world. Senior players not in our long term plans are causing problems. Sack or drop every player regardless of who they are, that are not giving their all. Players come and go, Poch is THE most important part of our team. He will rebuild a quality squad again. Give him time.

You got players like Siss, that give their all for the team every week, probably not even a Spurs 'fan'. Kane claims to love us, boyhood club etc. team captain, appears not to care. No excuses really, he as well as all the others should be utterly ashamed of themselves.

Calm down dude, you know absolutely nothing about what's going on behind the scenes. I'm pretty sure Kane will always want what's best for the club.

I think you need to take it into context. They are still human beings, if they are being made to feel like shit in their work environment they wouldn’t be able to just switch off from it on a match day because, you know, passion

I'm quite calm 'dude'. Thank you for your concern. Just opinion, I get it that you're in the Poch out brigade. Be very careful what you wish for. Poch out is instant gratification. Long term, we will (may) regret it.

I dont blame Kane.He gets terrible service because we are too slow to get the ball to him.
The one player who can hit through balls is Ndombele. He has problems getting back but going forward he is exactly perfect for Kane.
Poch has no idea how to solve these problems.
He thinks they are not uber fit enough rather than protecting the midfield while Ndombele powers forward

I'm sure he's got a plan, won't make the slightest bit of difference, if he hasn't managed to get the players back on side though. Not even sure that's even possible now.
He needs to drop the players that are not fully committed. Send them to the reserves and start playing some of the the fringe players. Might not be good enough but surely they will give more than the current lot. Its the only way for him to save some face and make a statement. He might get more credit and praise by following this path.

I think he needs to learn more how to develop the midfield into a more flexible unit.
We need to get the best out of Winks, use Ndombele's talent with the through ball by protecting the defensive side by working Dier with Winks

In most circumstances where the players are not playing for the manager, the manager goes but with such a change in the playing staff coming in the next 8 months it going to be a major rebuild with whoever is in charge.
I would stick with Pochettino IF his heart is still in it?? He has taken us from also runs to tittle challengers before and with the right backing I believe he can do it again
I'm with you, the only issue is I don't know if he is a good enough tactician to win a league title or anything major with us. Managing a Real Madrid/Barcelona team is a different story as the quality of players they have might carry him through to trophies.
