Picking that defence today I actually think he wants to get the sack so he can blame the club to try and win the PR game when the inevitable happens.
Poch will definitely win the PR battle no matter how many points are dropped. He looked unstable after Bayern and it was like all the media in England lept to his defence.

The only way Poch saves his job is to put Tanganga, Skipp, Parrott, KWP in...if he's serious about this rebuild like he was back in 2014 when he dropped seniors and out young hungry players in, I suspect he isn't though and like the players he's lost his hunger.

I am beginning to side with all those who said Poch messed it all up with his words about how he could leave once we reached the champions league final. Fair enough we weren't expected to get there, but it just shows the ingrained mentality of the club that the manager felt we had achieved all we could have expected to achieve by reaching that final. I think he thought he had won the final by reaching the final. This complacency has rubbed off on the players. They have all achieved all they expect to achieve here.

To those who still want Poch in, can you honestly say you are confident we will get the 9 wins required to avoid relegation to the Championship?

A bit like Redknapp...got the media on his side so the club will be slagged off when the inevitable happens.

The only argument I see for not sacking him tonight (and honestly, it should have been done straight after the Bayern Munich game) is that we're likely to get royally humped by Liverpool whoever's in charge, so might as well wait and appoint a new manager after we've got the inevitable loss out of the way and give the new man a chance to start off his tenure on a positive note. But that's the only argument I can see for not sacking him straight away, and that's still what I'd like to see happen.

Could argue it would give a new manager a bit of time to get to know the squad, Liverpool being a fee hit.

For me it was the Brighton game, should of gone after that, a complete nothing performance in the context of being humiliated just before. You don't respond to humiliations like that.

Today was more of the same. Another nothing performance, after being humiliated again.

Levy needs to have a little look at the definition of insanity because this isn't changing.

The problem with the ‘play the youth’ idea is that thanks to Poch any academy player with an ounce of flair or creativity gets released before they reach puberty. We only have defenders and cloggers to choose from

Bye bye Poch

Was fun while it lasted. Been awful for too long now. Second half of last season and start of this is appalling. We look like relegation candidates
Really annoys me that people keep saying this, we are awful ALL last season, we just managed to grind out wins up to Jan, then results fell in line with the garbage performances.

More than anything else. I truly believe that if Poch remains in charge for the rest of the season we will be in the bottom half and may possibly get dragged into a relegation battle.

Don’t think it’s that drastic, but the season is already feeling like it needs to be written off. The are no real signs that we are going to do anything but fall back to mid table mediocrity.

All jokes aside 9 wins honestly sounds way too much for this squad to achieve, that’s how bad things have become.

Just this very second at 18:34 left the ground. The vibes regarding Poch is not good in any way. Plus his latest comments he is saying our new signings need to be match ready. It has not gone down well. I have never known such a bad feeling/vibe within our great club for years. Make your own minds up.

As I was saying at HT to @scat1620 , I'm not Poch out yet but I can only repeat what I said before the international break. Some of these players are just going through the motions and are going to get him sacked if he doesn't change things. And we are talking about senior, core group players who have a real effect on proceedings and what is being played out.

Not just on todays game, but I'd say there are five of them in particular who look a bit detached and/or are going through the motions. That doesn't mean we're getting no effort from them, it doesn't mean they don't still make impacts on the game, but I don't see 100% focus and a hunger for the cause.

They are:

Eriksen - Lets get the obvious one out of the way first. Been unsettled for ages and we've seen the clear effect on his game.

Rose - Physical decline, but just seems to play even more with his head in the clouds and back to switching off constantly.

Vertonghen - Also showing signs of decline, another who is getting caught out from switching off and going through the motions.

Alderweireld - Daft errors/play with and without the ball increasingly being seen.

Kane - I fully expect to get abuse for this one, but he's going on the list. Just plodding around half-heartedly for the most part. Just on todays game, people will no doubt point out the handful of times he got angry and chased something and say that shows he's fine and I'm talking crap, but he doesn't press and even when we have the ball I can point you to umpteen times today when eg. a cross went in and he's just stood looking rather than trying to get on it. There's far too much of that currently.

You can argue everyone else's strengths and weaknesses, tactics and what the manager is doing wrong etc, and they're all problems that require fixing, but I see those five as the biggest problem that needs rectifying, ASAP. And they're arguably the most senior players, age/profile/tenure at the club and must have substantial weight in the dressing room. I think some are totally a lost cause, in that case remove them. If he doesn't it will all end in tears.

We need eleven players out on the pitch who are hungry and want to give there all. That's the starting point before we get to quality of football and winning matches.

But he's not doing that and looks unlikely to do so.
