Most of the indicators point to him being given more time to turn things around, however, if we lose at home to bottom of the table Watford and we follow this up with a loss at home to Red Star Belgrade on Tuesday and round it off with getting thrashed by 4 or 5 at Anfield, if the mood and morale is low at the moment, it will be nothing compared to what it would be if this happened, and in these circumstances, it is pretty obvious what would happen after a third loss that was demoralising. For the record I'm optimistic enough to believe that this three game scenario won't play out in this way, I'm just emphasising that we all know that a chairman's public backing can quickly change if you get a sequence of results like I've described, not least because it would point to the fact that we would most probably be heading out of the CL, and couldn't even get a point at home the lowest ranked team in the PL and it would starkly emphasise how much in the opposite directions the 2019 CL finalists were currently heading.

My biggest issue with Pochettino is what I see present day in the Spurs team. Looking back on his best XI, which was probably Lloris, Walker, Alderweireld, Vertonghen, Rose, Dembele, Wanyama, Eriksen, Dele, Son, Kane, only 4 were signed by Poch, the other 7 were already at the club.

My issue is, has he been a good manager or did he just get a little bit lucky? I'm pretty sure it's not luck but when we look at the best team during his tenure, 6 years in and the fact that 7 of those guys were not identified nor have they been sufficiently replaced to date when required does come as a concern.

He's had over £400m to spend on incomings if you consider the Lo Celso deal to be a permanent one, does anyone really see £400m worth of improvements in the team at present? That would be my biggest concern to date, he hasn't proved he can do it with something regarded as genuinely his team.

He wanted players like Berahino, Schneiderlin etc and turned down Maddison for peanuts. He wasn't interested in Lo Celso for £20m but was a year later at £50m etc. He hasn't exactly got a top drawer record when it comes to wise investments so it comes as no surprise to me that when the old guard start to age, the team looks a little frail.

If he stays for this supposed rebuild, replacing lots of players coming into the prime of their careers, I just want to know where he’s going to find them?

Where do all these players suddenly appear from that will appear and gel together as a group and as a team out on the pitch?

Also, like you say and I agree, do wetrust Poch et al to find them?

Lets face it, we should have bought replacements for Rose, Eriksen and Verts over the last 2 years and gradually phased them into the team, in fact we haven't had a left footed back up for Verts since Wimmer left 2 yrs ago.

Certainly not luck. Remember how poor Rose and Walker were before Poch? Rose in particular was dreadful. Dembele always flattered to deceive; Vertonghen had one season where our fans turned against him due to his poor attitude; and Eriksen wasn't exactly pulling up any trees.

There's an argument to be made for Dele and Kane's development under him as well - versus their potential development under another manager - though Sherwood did admittedly give the latter his first games.

Appreciate your point about him not having the best transfer record, however. His signings are a mixed bag (the ones he wanted, not the one's Levy gave him eg Fazio, Njie, N'Koudou, Stambouli). For every Toby and Wanyama there's a Janssen, but is any other manager any different?

SAF signed Bebe, Anderson, Veron, Diego Forlan and many more; Guardiola brought in Bravo only to replace him a year later; and I don't think Klopp will look back fondly on the signing of Loris Karius.

I think he is very stubborn when it comes to transfers, but I think the situation we find ourselves in now is far more complex than just his stubbornness.

Jesus mate, how many losses do you want? If we lose to Watford, then that’s it for me. No going back on it anymore. Losing at home to the worse team in the league after our run of form is unacceptable. Poch should be sacked instantly if we can’t get a result at home to Watford sorry. No waiting around for Red star Belgrade or Liverpool.

All this shit in the media is just pissing me off. I think we’re genuinely fucked. He needs to go before it gets even worse. He clearly doesn’t want to be here anymore so just leave.

So ballbag sticks his oar in again.

**** needs to shut his fucking yap - since he got on board with Poch everytime he either puts pen to paper or opens his mouth it turns into a muck raking session.

There isn't one other manager in this league that has such a person doing so much talking for them.

Just fuck off and take this forked tongue wanker with you.

I'll happily take a couple of shit pot trophies and the plastics can enjoy them on twitter, then we can go back to being a nearly team and I can sit comfortably watching on in mediocrity again, it was far easier and a much nicer way of watching football.

Fucks sake. The international break finishes and everyone at our club immediately starts briefing the press against each other again. This is fucking ridiculous.

The sharks (press) are circling and we keep feeding them, and it's only had a detrimental effect on our club and team's performance.

Wish they'd all just shut up, knuckle down and concentrate on their day jobs for a few weeks at some point.

It's disheartening.

As much as people may dislike Balague and some of the stuff he sometimes comes out with, he is quite close with Poch.

Agree. I don't like Balague at all and think he's full of shit most of the time. But when it comes to Poch he's about as ITK as you can get given that he's a close family friend. Doesn't necessarily mean his opinions are right, obviously, but if there's inside knowledge to be had on what Poch is thinking, he's the one journo who would have it.

That article and that counter article are fucking embarrassing. Neither are productive considering the rut we find ourselves in and find this constant use of the press pathetic.

Instead of showing some kind of united front, instead we have more rubbish being (allowed) to be printed.

If they could get their shit sorted off and on the field that'd be great.

Anyone else a bit bored of Spurs - I am

I also love Spurs, I guess like anything, too much of something can get boring and i think too much of the crap that has gone on the last couple of months has started to take its effect on me.

Id stick with Poch simply because apart from one or two out there, i think he will sort the crap out thats on the pitch.
