It is nigh on impossible to defend Poch at this point, people saying he needs time and opportunity to turn it around but he is not showing much desire to do so by continually picking players that have been alluded to not wanting to be here in a formation that has continually shown to leave us utterly exposed

I was hoping Southampton was a turning point, but tonight’s capitulation has all the hallmarks of a squad that has downed tools for it’s manager. And once that’s the case there’s no going back I’m afraid

I guess we'll know for sure after the Brighton game. I think the 2 week break will have come at the perfect time for everyone to sit down and figure out the next steps for the club.

He still has enough goodwill in the bank with me. I want him to turn it around and hopefully by Christmas things will have picked up drastically. But my hope is precisely that. Nothing practical to point at to say I can see it turn around. For half an hour we were pretty good and ought to have scored more but that came through pressing. Not taking the chances was criminal because we couldn't keep that intensity up all game. We saw it at Arsenal, at Leicester. For 30 minutes we create good chances but threw lack of ruthlessness at one end and stupidity at the other it goes to waste. The diamond shape as Hoddle pointed out on commentary also contributed to our players being dragged out and expending more energy unnecessarily. Bayern are also an elite team who at their best have played the most devastating football in Europe for years because they make the pitch so big. It's one thing I wish Poch did more - use speedy wingers to get up and down the touchline sides rather than relying on full backs for the width.

I also hope this humiliation has given every single one of those men in that dressing room an ego check. Frankly I am past reading or hearing Spurs players give interviews giving it the big talk. And Poch's biggest mistake was declaring he might have left if we won the CL Final because the impression it gives is if he got his way he wouldn't be here now.

Once the players stop listening to you it's game over.

His love of diamond is becoming petty now and I don't believe that he doesn't recognise that it doesn't suit the players at his disposal.

Mickey Bridges on Australian tv has said that he has heard from a source inside the club that poch might walk this week.
Whether he is bullshit or not I’m not too sure....

The players don't believe in the system, en large they never have
They don't believe in the system at all. They have made that repeatedly clear to him and yet he persists with it.

He's never been tactically good, he's a motivator. That now can't motivate, because he's too stubborn to listen!!!

We went two transfer windows because he would only accept a very small number of players that were at the time unobtainable, now that stubbornness has gone to a whole new level.

You can criticise him tonight, this season and the whole 2019 but to say he’s never been tactically good is just bs. Do you think he made us a consistent top 4 team with the squads he’s had only because he’s a motivator? Please think about what you’re saying before writing stupid stuff like this

He deserved/deserves to only approve the signings he wants and it’s the clubs fault we’re in this position. If they just backed him fully from day one we wouldn’t be in this position. Even this summer wasn’t good enough despite what people say

In January we need to buy a DM and a RB no matter the price, it’s time to stop being cheap fuckers

Make it quick. We need a swift response in upturn of results and form. Can't drag on for too long in a sea of disbanded and demoralised mood.

The question has to be asked. If Poch doesn’t want certain players, if certain players don’t want to be here any more why does he still pick them? Why not play those who do want to play for us; Skipp, Dier Tanganga(?), Davies. He did it before when he brought in Mason and Bentalab

First 20 was even but only because both teams were so open defensively. Kovac made tactical alterations, Poch did nothing...
Kovac brought on Thiago which tighten up their midfield and help stop us getting behind them. Poch needed to do something similar - bring on Dier maybe!

Why is he not playing Dier at DM is beyond me
Honestly, this.

I love winks, turning into a fantastic player but last night he got knocked off the ball countless times.

Could you imagine dier being body checked off the ball like that?

Not a fucking chance.

The formation is baffling. What happened to his philosophy? And then why is lamela not playing, one of his loyal servants who has started the season do well, and also follows pochs original philosophy.

After the CL final he spoke about changing the mentality at the club. Changing how things are done and how things happen.

Levy delivered his top 4 targets this summer, oddly enough none of them were in the problem areas of RB and DM. However that's besides the point.

Change the mentality of the fans, change the mentality of the players. Have an all encompassing mentality where everyone pulls in the same direction. Except he refuses to change himself in any way. He's so stubborn it's to the detriment of the team.

Continuing to play a diamond when it must have worked twice in about 33 games.

Yes, something needs to change. That's him. He needs to change. Swallow your pride. Your system doesn't work. Change it. Do something. This has been going on for about 9 months now.

The worst thing to happen, and it sounds strange, was getting to Madrid to the CL final. It masked everything that was wrong since January. Dont get me wrong it was absolutely amazing to get there and I still have no idea how we did it. But being knocked out by Ajax might have actually helped us more in the long run.

Something has to give. Whether he walks or changes his ideas, I dont know. But it needs to happen.
