Over the past few years, i've developed an affinity for Poch about as strong as one could have for a complete stranger. The guy *was* Spurs. It wasn't just about what he did for us on the pitch, but his class off of it.

Taking my heart out of the equation however, it's clear we're very close - if not already past - the point of no return. Tonight was the sort of result that sends shockwaves across Europe. A total and utter embarrassment that has ramifications beyond the 3 points. It's a psychological hammer blow and I don't think it's an overreaction to say it damages the club's profile somewhat.

It hurts, but I see no redemption from this.
Certainly not til he can get rid of the 'trouble makers'? January can't come soon enough for me.

Poch needs to make wholesale changes.

I dont know why he has fallen in love with a player like Winks, who seems nailed on to start every game.

Dont get me wrong, he is a good squad player that will always play the safe pass. But he doesnt break up the play, doesnt look to play through balls. He might go for a dribble now & again but frustratingly always does a half turn and pass back. He kills the offense going forward far too often.

As for Aurier. He shouldn't play again for Spurs. Put anyone else there at right back: Sissoko, Dier, Foyth, Walker-Peters.
They are less than ideal but miles better than Aurier.

And finally go back to the formation that we play our best football. 4-2-3-1
I think Poch unhealthy obesession with playing Winks is causing us more problems as it has forced a switch to a 4-4-2 diamond or even a 4-3-3 which both of these formation doesnt work.

Ndombele is clearly our best midfielder. Pick the next best CM to play along side him. Dont try and force 3 CMs in the same lineup.
Winks is a very fine footballer, but we all agree he shouldn't be in front of the back 4. He's a pivot and not a defensive player.

Poch has done so much for our club so I'm happy to give him time to fix this but only if he acts now. Big changes are needed and he needs to be ruthless. If Eriksen won't sign a new contract then don't play him. Same goes for Toby and Jan. If Rose wants to leave then let him go. Tell Aurier his time is up and he can go. Make Dele play his way back into the team as his form is not good enough. Recognise that we need to be more solid so either play Dier as a 3rd centre back or as a holding midfielder. Tanaganga, Skipp and Parrott would offer enthusiasm so give them a place on the bench at least. What I don't want is the same old same old churned out on Saturday against Brighton. It's time to be brave otherwise it's time for change.

Poch should stop mentioning 'five years' in every instances of looking forward. Its kinda like constantly reminding everyone the credit he had done in that five years.

I hope Poch takes the whole team on a pub crawl tonight. Get full and tell home truths, beat lumps oit of each other and then hug and make up over a kebab on way home. Turn up saturday and put 10 past Brighton. COYS.

I’d be cautious of that, look what happened to Derby... :nailbiting:

I played the long game on this one, but I knew I was right backing the appointment of De Boer over Poch. Idiots.

Ironically, Atlanta United (his current side) had some major dressing room issues at the beginning of the year, but he has them playing his style and has their key signings engaged and believing in the cause. They went from talking shit to the press about him to third place in the conference and major contenders for the MLS Cup. Maybe Poch can talk to him a little to get some tips on how to win a dressing room back.

I drink alcohol about once a month, if that, but this mess right now just makes me wanna get fucking hammered lol Really losing faith in Poch now. The midfield diamond again? Seriously? There’s nothing else to say other than it is properly clueless!

It's crazy how things can change so quickly in football. A year or two ago I would've laughed if you'd told me that we'd be calling for Pochettino's head now, with our most talented team in my lifetime - a team that could only get better. After all, we'd not really achieved what we were capable of yet. Surely it couldn't end before the seemingly inevitable success we'd been building towards.

The most telling part for me is the level of discontent in the squad, how certain players seem to be almost bigger than the team. It's almost come full circle since Poch was brought in to clear out the "bad eggs" and rebuild the team from the foundations up. Now it seems like someone else will have to come in and do the same thing. Rinse and repeat. We'll never learn.

i was excited after seeing those 3 in pre-season. yet come the season proper they just get binned. baffling, especially as we have likes of wanyama on the bench.

I’m with Poch

But only if he wants to be here.

You can’t take £7m plus and go through motions - not fair on him or us.
