Be great if he started to shut down stories that link him to other clubs...instead of flirting like a slapper.
This is the problem mate certain people keep forgetting that he has kept his options open by constantly flashing his draws at utd and Madrid.

He just said in his press conference that the journalists are clever and use his words to create a story.

Well, MP, why don't you be clever and don't give them the ammo.

I've said a few times in the last couple of months that our media team need to reign the journalists in a bit. They need to because Poch is making the situation worse with his comments. Numerous times in the last 6 months he's said something in one interview and then had to issue an explanation in the next. It needs to change

Not just the last six months, it goes back to the Christmas period last season. Lots of strange messages from Poch and lots of repeated shit stirring by journalists not being reeled in by the press officer, especially during the whole Utd/Real Madrid saga..

I could put up with Jose's football if he won us the league, but I don't really want us to go down that road purely to win the utterly pointless Carabao Cup. Unfortunately, I don't think we've got a cat in hell's chance of winning the league over Guardiola's City regardless of who our manager is. At least not until we've had several years of squad building, but Jose would most likely fall out with everyone and leave before we managed to build a squad capable of challenging City.

In short, I don't like the idea of Jose because it's purely a short-term strategy and I dont think in the short term it's likely that we'll win the league anyway. Therefore I'd rather we get someone in who can build something long term like Poch has done and by the time we're ready to compete properly maybe City won't be quite as dominant.

Kane will either have left or be over 30 by then with shattered ankles.

Arsenal may well have sorted their defence out.

Almost everyone is saying we can’t possibly win the league, but at the same time don’t seem that bothered about winning any other trophies.

Amazing to see some people not want Managers with trophies coming out of their ears, for a manager who can't even win a league cup with a very strong set of players.

I can understand why people wouldn't want Mourinho, in his time at Man Utd he spent over £350 million on players and recouped about £80 million. For that he did won the 'league' cup and Europa Cup in his first season but at the expense of finishing 6th in the league. Second season he finished 2nd above of us but won nothing and was sacked the third season. The football was dull and he publicly fell out with lots of the players.

Not dismissing the two trophies, but I doubt anyone here would be happy to see us give up on the top 4 race to focus on winning a cup. There is already a surprising amount of people wanting to see Poch leave when a few months ago he led us to a Champions league final and has had us top 4 for years. For a club with such a small net spend over those years and without a home ground either that's pretty remarkable.

Saying this there are concerns over the football we are playing, some unhappy players in the squad who could be leaving and Poch not being his usual self the last year.

But I still have faith in Poch, he has my full backing and I'm looking forward to seeing how we perform when our new signings have settled in and we can start seeing our managers plans come into fruition.

I feel there are good times ahead again.

Exactly. The people advocating Mourinho must be really into the Carabao Cup, because there’s no way he’s winning the league at Spurs while Liverpool and City are in this shape.

I'd rather the team showed some kind of signs of being coached and maybe interested in putting effort in than some copy and paste answers in the press conferences but I suppose others are easier to please

People moaning about Mourinhos football make me laugh.

Have you watched a Spurs game in the last year ffs! We are fucking horrendous, wake up.
So you're position is, we've been shit anyway, we might as well get another bloke in who's football's as bad? Great solution pal!

Watched the Poch press conference in full. Looks like he's got his tail between his legs somewhat and it's hard not to feel sorry for him. I back him 100% and I'm really hoping he can sort out the issues. There's no one else I trust more to take this Club forward.

Yes but a bloke that will likely get us to win something. I'd rather have shit football and win silverware than shit football and win nothing.

I should add I'm not advocating Jose but I want us to win some competitions.

Who said thats my solution? Im laughing at the hypocrisy of the people who think the sun shines out of Pochs ringpiece.

I suppose you all agreed with Son playing left wing back in a cup final. What a genius move that was.

Allegri would 100% take us to the next level IMO

He's a top manager but people are overestimating how good he is/how bad Poch is.

Allegri was the master of the 1-0 then park the bus tactic at Juve, and was bailed out several times in the 17/18 season by (ironically) Dybala.

People scoffing at Mourinho because of his playing style should be wary of Allegri if that's what they care about...

While of course the two shouldn’t ever be mutually exclusive, I will always choose exciting football over winning. For most of the past half decade (and the previous half decade too barring 2012-2014) I have seen enjoyable football played the right way, so have not really struggled with our lack of trophies. However, 2019 has been difficult. I believe Pochettino can get us pointing the right direction again, and I very much want him too, but he needs to want to too. If he leaves, I personally would much rather a manager who plays exciting football to one who wins by boring the opposition to death, to paraphrase one of our greatest.

For some context, I’m not sure many Chelsea fans enjoyed the 16/17 season half as much as I did.

Time to start thinking about getting back to what made us good in the first place under him.

I'm honestly far more interested in the performance than the result this weekend.

And the thing I'm fed up most with is how we start games, such a slow tempo it's unreal and sets a crap tone for the rest of the game whilst the opposition grow in confidence.

Time to take games by the scuff, actions speak louder than words etc

A bit harsh. He cant really say anything else. At least he knows what needs addressing. I don't like that nobody has questioned his team selections and tactics though. The press need to do that.

Does this sound like a man who isn’t all in here? Sorry, SC

That says nothing tbh. What was the option?

It's not like he's gonna say: No, I don't think I am the one to take Spurs to the next level. I think my level is sunday league football. I also think that Tim Sherwood is the one that will take Spurs to the next level.
