Today he says he's "happy" with the squad when asked about January buys and "No" to buying in January. He changes daily. Now he is either very clever and pissing of the media to get his own back or he really doesn't know what the hell's going on. I know we certainly don't.

I don't expect us to buy during January prices will be inflated and we struggle at the best of times so safe to assume expect nothing.
But football management is about results and if you get them great your a hero but if you don't then pressure mounts poch is aware that it's a result based business.

Did he actually ever say we would buy in January? I thought his previous quotes were more about moving on the players who didn't want to be here/we didn't want, but weren't able to get over the line.

He's never been big on signing in January.

I believe he just said January would be fun, though I could have missed something.

I think the whole system at our club needs to be looked at again. And maybe possibly Poch has been given too much say in all things. The Youth teams and development seem to have stagnated - which is key to our future. The transfer policy and recruitment has been somewhat lacking - apart from the summer purchases although they again could have been brought in earlier, Ndombele aside.. The scouting is obv an issue, what’s the point having a scout recommend players if the manager has the ‘I ONLY want De Jong’ kind of attitude?.. Poch doesn’t have a great track record with picking players, in fact I’d say Levy has spotted much more successful transfers..If Poch has de-notes himself back to coach, then we should be listening more to the scout, and try a DOF again.

Yep I think we were better off when Poch was head coach then we should have been looking to get a DOF in as Poch has shown himself to be very poor with recruitment since he’s been manager and had more control.

That's what I said, but I got spammed for some reason. Makes sense to me.

We can drop them from the named squad list.

no i meant the players we have been in discussions with to join us.

2-4 weeks ago when Poch said about changes, might have been on the back of thinking his preferred acquisitions were keen, but things have changed.

myself his latest comments are most probably trying to give the players a lift in some ways

Wonder if he's in for a shock!?!?

"Then when last week, you receive a text from the player inviting you and the coaching staff for a dinner. Only two things can happen, because they want to say goodbye! Or because they feel that they love you and they want to show that they are with you. And I think it's the second.
"They are not about to say goodbye to me. To say goodbye to me, say goodbye here! Not inviting me to dinner."
When pushed on who sent him the message, he said coyly: "You can guess! Players. All the players, because it's a WhatsApp group."

Do you reckon they will all order a huge diamond shaped dessert and then take turns to massacre it with their forks?

At last, one of my previous mutterings becomes slightly relevant. I warned you lads!

You're taking Poch out for dinner for the night, and take him to your favourite restaurant and you're paying. He's gets shown a menu and you ask him what he'd like. He says he doesn't like anything on the menu. You leave and ask him what restaurant he'd like to go to. He's not bothered. He starts to get in a bit of a mood. You take him to a new restaurant, he's still being a bit moody, and doesn't like anything on this menu either. He starts moaning to the waiter that other restaurants have food he likes, so you offer to take him there. He doesn't want to go now.

You give up and get a cab. Poch sits there in a mood, so you ask him wtf he's so moody. He says 'I'm hungry'.
