I like Yankspurs as a poster and I don't really care if people like the owners or not, they're entitled to their views, but to just ignore that they've just built a £1B stadium is crazy.
Im not ignoring it. But again, ENIC has run its course as owner of the club. In order for us to progress, we need investment on the pitch. That is not part of ENIC’s MO.

Given that we've just shipped 7 goals at home there's going to be extra scrutiny and pressure on the back 4 tomorrow. Because of that I think Sissoko over KWP is a sound call.

Sissoko has shown that he can cope with a lot of shit over the last few seasons and will probably not be phased by filling in at RB. Asking KWP to come in after Tuesday to replace old clown shoes Aurier is going to be a risky one when the whole team is likely to be feeling edgy.

Ah yes the grass isnt always greener thing. No it is not. But cant it be the case that ENIC has run its course and cant/arent willing to do what is required to take us to the next level?
How can you write that, in this thread, whilst being completely blind to the possibility that the same could be said for Poch? ENIC have over seen a much larger progression of the club than he has, so why have faith in him yet not them?

They clearly do invest on the pitch. They just don’t invest as much as some others clubs, or as much as you would like.

Exactly this. Anyone thinking KWP is the right choice for a game following a 7-2 defeat is just not thinking logically about our situation at the moment.

It wasn't part of their MO while we were building the stadium. We had to borrow a lot of money so we couldn't splash the cash on players at the same time. If you were saving up to buy a new house you wouldn't go out and buy a new car as well as you might not get a mortgage. Now that we've moved in we've started to spend on players. Levy's said we will continue to invest on the pitch. If we don't spend a significant amount on players next summer I won't blame you for complaining.

So suggesting playing a RB in his natural position is 'illogical' yet deploying a midfielder as a makeshift RB is?

Strange times indeed....

We dont have a good RB though...
Sissoko been covering the asses of Trippier, Aurier for 1.5 years now. He is the most qualified RB we have.

I only want to see him play there if we are playing 3 at the back and he's a wing back. I think its unfair to play him there, just like it was unfair to play Sanchez there. If he has a stinker at right back it's another stick to beat Poch with. He will have to think about that in his team selection.

Speaks volumes of our summer transfer activity that we didn't sign a right back when lots of us were desperate for one. It's almost as if we could see this coming more than the club!

I have to say I have had enough of what the players and the manager say. There has been a lot of talk round the club recently that is obviously not reflecting the mood and the morale of the camp. I want to see the difference on the pitch.

Sissoko has proven he is capable of playing competently as a makeshift RB and is defensively more sound that KWP based on what i have seen of him for us in the first team.

We are leaking goals and short on confidence. My thinking is that is more logical to play a senior, more defensively solid and probably more trusted (by the team) player.

The context being you don't rate Walker-Peters over Sissoko in that role.

The context being that Sissoko is currently our best option in that position regardless of the fact that we have other natural options there.

We just conceded 7 goals and our full back areas were exposed, we need to build some confidence in the back line, is KWP gonna build going to do that?

Poch quoted today as hoping he's still at Spurs over five years from now, has been the best bit of news from the club all week. He's handled recent attempts to undermine him and Spurs with great dignity, retaining his calm, level-headed approach to problems, and underlining what a gem we have in him and his staff.

Of course it's just the kind of news the mockers, destabilisers and campaigners against Spurs, won't want to make much of, not least because in the medium and long-term it cuts the ground from under the soap-opera storylines about Spurs that is their stock-in-trade.

We could also do a lot better
All jokes aside I could see the benefit of appointing a manager short term that woul inflate their egos and let them express themselves if Poch were to go.

Just so it's clear I've never wanted Poch to go, but things have to change with him and quick. If he drops this crazy obsession with the diamond and listens to the players I can see him staying if he doesn't then I think things will very quickly become untenable.
