Pearson's last job was in the Belgian 2nd division where he lasted 2 seasons before getting sacked.

JFC. Outside of Pool, Leicester and Citeh, the league as a whole is a mess this season.

This reads like a cry for help from Watford. Pearson is not only a complete psycho, but a shit manager to boot.

Someone should check if they’re ok.

Pearson’s record of getting sacked is some achievement. I don’t think he’ll see the season out at Watford unless they just want to get through to the season end knowing they’ll be relegated anyway.

Everton should just let Ferguson manage the team for a few weeks and see how he gets on. It’s obvious from his interviews that he loves the club and seems a passionate guy. Calvert lewin in his interview intimated the players will play for him and that’s half the battle.

Letting him have the job for now is the sensible decision rather than bringing another guy in who doesn’t know the league or players. I’ve a feeling their owner likes a fancy foreign name though so that won’t happen.

I'm not sure who'd have the bottle to not play for him, guy is menacing!!

It amazes me that managers like pearson, moyes and fat sam still can considered for these jobs. Yes they have experience in relegation battles but time has past them all by.

Pearson gets a lot of credit for Leicester's title winning team just four/five years ago. I can see how that would be appealing for a chairman of a struggling club. And Big Sam has a record of saving teams from relegation...I'm not sure why he couldn't do it now?

Survival and severance.

They get the job because when a club needs a manager mid-season they are usually in some sort of trouble and need a man until the end of the season to try and avoid that., but the contract is usually for longer than that either as a show of faith or as a demand to ensure income. If they do keep the club up, chances are the team struggles the next year too and they are fired.

Looking like Everton will announce Vitor Pereira as manager before Sunday. A journeyman manager with no experience of English football is a ridiculous risk when you're in a relegation fight.

They’ll be in the “save us sam allardyce” group by February along with villa and the spammers

You can tell he doesn't want it full time, he's got a job for life there being an assistant.

Crazy decision. Although we said that when Marco Silva took over Hull and it nearly worked with a much worse squad than Everton's.
